The Indian Hot Springs is a rare gem that blends the charm of a bygone era with modern updates to make your stay comfortable and memorable. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome—friendly, attentive, and clearly proud of the history they help preserve. We stayed in one of the updated cabins, and it was perfect: clean, cozy, and thoughtfully refreshed while still retaining that rustic character. The private hot spring pools were the highlight—peaceful, rejuvenating, and ideal for unwinding in solitude or with someone special. Yes, the property has an old-world feel, but that’s part of its magic. It’s been around since 1905, and stepping into the mineral caves or walking the grounds feels like traveling back in time. If you’re expecting a sleek resort, you might be surprised—but if you do your research and come with the right mindset, you’ll appreciate the authenticity and atmosphere. Many of the negative reviews seem to stem from mismatched expectations. This isn’t a luxury spa—it’s a historic retreat with soul. I’d recommend Indian Hot Springs to anyone looking for a relaxing escape with character, warmth, and a touch of Colorado history.
The rooms are very small with not much room for luggage. The bathrooms are very tiny as well. But the bed seems good enough. The hotspring pool is very large. I love that there is no jumping or splashing allowed in it. It's not as hot as we were expecting- definitely less than 95 degrees. The indoor private tubs are wonderful, though- very hot and has a shower in it. We would come back again.
What a Rejuvenating Escape at Indian Hot Springs last week! From the moment we arrived, we knew we were going to have an experience we’d never forget. This resort is very family-friendly and our 2 granddaughters are still talking about it! They loved our private cabin, sleeping in the bunk beds and listening to the creek go by. It had a nice and clean bathroom with a kitchenette, comfortable beds, a living room with a TV as well as a nice patio with a picnic table and umbrella! Our daughter, son-in-law, and grandkids also joined us on vacation and they thoroughly enjoyed their stay at Indian Hot Springs as well. We all had the pleasure of soaking in the beautiful open greenhouse pool and my husband and I soaked in a private mineral bath for a more intimate experience. We also had the chance to explore the amazing geothermal caves! This facility has a modern comfort with the staff being very friendly and helpful. The GM, J, was very gracious about sharing his love and knowledge of Indian Hot Springs with us. It felt like a step back in time in the best way possible. Without a doubt, we’ll be coming back and maybe get a chance to reserve one of the new outdoor cedar tubs that are currently under construction with a cold plunge tub, and experience the Club Mud room as well. Can’t forget about the short walk to downtown for food and shopping! With all this in mind, it’s simply impossible that you won’t have a great time!
It was a nice trip, the pool was warmer than a typical pool - not hot. It was nice to relax with my partner. We also got a private room for an hour, the water was much hotter and the room was very cozy, he had to duck in several spots. Overall we had a perfectly enjoyable time. My only complaint would be that we wanted to also visit the caves, but couldn't justify the price. Every separate thing cost more, and not a bit of an add on free, on the weekends there is no deal for adding additional attractions.
We has a wonderful and relaxing time at the Indian Hot Springs Resort. The main pools is wonderful. We rented a private outdoor tub. I would suggest for the resort to add a higher fence for added privacy. The resort is relaxing and it takes you back to a time of a slower pace and gentler time. The rooms are basic but exceptionally clean and comfortable. Everyone from the front desk staff to maintenance and the gift shop workers were welcoming, and friendly! It is a nice short walk to town where there are wonderful restaurants and shops. I would definitely stop here again!
