We had planned on biking but when it was 90 degrees and humid we changed our plan to the lazy river! We were in town for the weekend and found out about this online when we googled things to do in Marshalltown. For $5 each we spent the 3 hours forgetting about the heat and having a great time floating! Yes, you have to get out of the water once a hour for 8 minutes. It gives the lifeguards a chance to jump in and cool off and it gives you time to hit the bathroom and grab a snack/drink! Totally worth it! VERY clean pool and lazy river!!!!

The staff is disrespectful and lie. A My son took the swimming test and was told before that he had to swim from one side to the other right in front of me and the girl said its easy. Then the disrespect young guy that gave my son the test didn't tell my son anything but jump in and swim. And then when my son swam from one side to the other the guy failed him said he twisted his body too much and i watched him ecplain to my son why he failed but how was my son yo known what parameters to follow if they were not told to him then the guard lied about it right to my face and in front of the woman that i font known if she was the manager or what she was cause she didn't respectfully introduce her self and became standoffish when I pointed out three different times during our conversation on how the guard that was more worried about his phone then what was going on thats his story and information changed... and the girl at the counter kept saying its what the guards comfortable with. And the manger which like I said I assume was the lady that kept taking time out to eat her food whilst this was happening did correct her and say no its not up to the life guard but they couldn't get the story straight about my son failing and then when I was proving that there is obviously no consistency between information for everyone she kept says "what are you trying for here" still while eating... then the same guard wants to talk with his lifeguard buddies and point at me while talking about me... very unprofessional and horribly ran if you want to go to a great pool with trash staff and ran by idiocy then this might be the place for you. I'd give it no stars if I could they ruined my sons day.

Today was my first time visiting here. Loved it...an area for diving, regular pool area, and a lazy river! Will definitely consider visiting again and highly recommend this place to anyone else.

Why is it the mom's can take pictures of their kids but the 2nd my husband does he gets told no phones? Watched this happen a few times.
