About

The Wallaceburg Splash Pad, located at 300 Running Creek Dr, Wallaceburg, ON, is a popular public water play area designed for children and families. It features various sprayers, jets, and interactive water elements, providing a fun and refreshing outdoor activity during warmer months. It's an accessible community amenity, often free to use, and a great spot for kids to cool off and play.

As a splash pad, the facility does not feature traditional pools with heated or maintained temperatures. The water used is typically fresh, unheated municipal water, with its temperature fluctuating based on ambient weather conditions.

What are people saying (AI review summary)? The park generally receives mixed reviews. The splash pad is a consistent highlight, universally praised as 'awesome' and suitable for all ages, making it a popular destination on hot days. However, the playground equipment receives varying feedback; while some appreciate interactive areas and multi-child swings, many note that features like slides and a three-story structure are primarily geared towards older children, potentially posing difficulties or safety concerns for kids under four. A significant drawback is recurring vandalism, which has rendered a large slide and entire playground areas non-operational. One particularly disturbing incident involved racist graffiti found carved into a damaged picnic table. Positively, the park offers shaded picnic tables, a portapotty, and a calming riverside setting, with facilities generally described as well-maintained apart from the vandalism issues.

First time at this park and due to vandalism the large slide was not operational. The children were able to witness racist (N) words carved into the picnic table present. They brought it to my attention. The same picnic table had a chunk of one end missing which is a safety problem. The sprinkler area was the highlight for them and they enjoyed the water play there.

Nice place to take the grandkids when it's scorching hot like today was! I saw one portapotty. There's a picnic table under shade and two smaller tables , also under shade. There's a playground steps away but seems to be geared to bigger kids as the slides would be difficult to climb onto for little ones. A couple of swings were also there.

Favorite park to take my children to. Interactive play area. Multichild seating swings available, and different parts of the climber for different ages and abilities. Right off a small but pretty and calming river, well taken care of facilities and the splash pad is a must on all those scorching days.

The playground was vandalized. Kids weren't able to play there.

Awesome Splash Pad! Great for kids of all ages! The equipment close to it however is definitely too dangerous for kids under the age of 4. There is one swing and one sound machine for little kids but the rest is geared to older children as it is three stories high. Children over 4 would have a blast
