What are people saying (AI review summary)? The Cooper Pool facility is generally praised for being clean, well-maintained, and family-friendly, with positive comments about adult-only swim times. However, there are significant recurring criticisms regarding the quality and value of the swim lessons, which many reviewers describe as a fraudulent waste of money due to a lack of actual instruction and children simply playing. Lifeguard professionalism and supervision are also a major concern, with multiple reports of lifeguards not actively supervising, flirting amongst themselves, failing to address unruly teenage behavior, and starting/ending lessons outside of scheduled times.
Reviews
Nice clean facility well taken care of. The life guard was super nice and professional. It was clean and family friendly. They will allow you to rent it out for a scheduled time block for large family gatherings.
Nice pool, but something needs to be done about teenagers jumping in the pool, doing flips off the side and the language would make a sailor blush all while the lifeguards watch and do nothing about it even at the safety of others. Really need to have something done before someone gets hurt
It's an ok place to let the kids play but don't be sucked in to the fraudulently advertised swim lessons. They are simply charging you $30 per person to play in the pool with the other kids who each pay $30 to be there. The life guards are only there to flirt with one another and quote their favorite movie lines or song lyrics. With each day of lessons they would start later and end earlier than the scheduled times. If there is a plus at all It is that my children did like playing in the pool but I would have preferred to take them on my schedule instead of paying $60 to show up for non existent lessons.
I chose the noon to 1:00pm 'adult only swim' for my first visit to the Cooper Pool. It was great! The pool was clean and cool. Grateful to have such a nice facility in our tiny town.
I wish there was a way to give negative stars. There was more flirting and playing among staff than instructing the children. I feel as if it was a total waste of money for the swim lessons . My children already know how to play in the water .
