I brought 3 young boys and my teenage son. Pool was nice and water was cool it wasn’t crowded. The rules are a little strict (only allow bottle water and no toys) but I’m sure it cuts down on the place getting trashed. They do need to implement a dress code there were a couple of girls in thong bikinis. I’m fine for a bikini but cover at least half your bottom.
We stayed for 10 nights and we had a good time the trails could be maintained better but still nice they have several fishing docks they rent kayaks as well and there's a swimming pool
I recently stayed at this campground for the second time and once again had a fantastic experience. This place is a true relaxing retreat, with beautiful grounds and calming water views that make you feel completely at peace. The campsites are large and spacious, perfect for setting up a cozy campfire and enjoying the great outdoors. If you want a more level site, I recommend getting site 24 or 25 as some of the other sites can be a bit uneven. The gate can be a bit tricky to unlock, if you are out past dark, so be sure to have a flashlight handy and be prepared to get down on the ground to reach the lock. Overall, I highly recommend this campground to anyone looking for a tranquil getaway. I will definitely be back again in the future.
Campground is nice with well spaced spots, close to the lake, and large trees for shade but only 1 bath house that's not really conveniently located and the pads could use some work. Many pads aren't level, some don't have fire rings, asphalt is breaking off the sides of pads, etc. 3 washers and 2 dryers. On a really nice lake with great fishing if you have a boat. Camp hosts do a good job keeping it clean even though they shouldn't have to pick up after campers. Would be great if the state would spend some money on repairs to sites that are damaged.
We have been here several times to stay in the cabins in the fall. It’s always beautiful. This time there was an extended “draw down” on the lake to clean up invasive species and such I guess. Maybe combined with a lack of rain? It was still eerily beautiful.
