Swimming pool offering free lessons for kids, along with standard admission fees.
As a public outdoor pool, Sun Valley Pool's water temperature is generally not artificially controlled (heated or cooled) and thus fluctuates naturally with the prevailing outdoor weather and ambient air temperatures during its operational summer season. Specific daily temperatures are usually not published.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? Sun Valley Pool receives mixed reviews. Many visitors praise its cleanliness, well-maintained facilities, and affordable entry fees (ranging from $2-$4 depending on age, with children 2 and under often free). Some positive experiences highlight attentive and helpful lifeguards, making it feel safe and enjoyable. The pool also offers free swimming lessons and swim camp registration. However, significant negatives include reports of long wait times, with one family waiting 4 hours. There are also serious concerns about lifeguard attentiveness, with one review mentioning a child struggling in the deep end without surveillance. Most notably, one review makes a severe accusation of racial discrimination, alleging that the pool was opened for white patrons while repeatedly closed for Black patrons under false pretenses of inclement weather. Another minor complaint notes the absence of a concession stand.

I came here with my family. Had a great experience at Sun Valley Pool! The facility is very clean and well-maintained, which made it super enjoyable for our visit. The lifeguards were attentive and clearly good at their jobs — we felt safe the entire time. Special shoutout to the lifeguard lady who walks around; she was incredibly sweet and helpful, going out of her way to assist with any little inconvenience. The line to get in was a bit long, but it moved steadily and we still got in without too much hassle. Overall, a great spot for a summer day!
It is about time. Right! it’s a beautiful day sun valley swimming pool is open. What a convenient way to spend your summer two dollars for children and three dollars for 13 years and older great price. they are also offering free swimming lessons for the kiddos registration for swim camp.
If I could give them zero stars I would ! My family and I on top of other families came to swim at Sun Valley Pool. Earlier in the day it was raining okay that's cool we know there will be a wait right. But it ended up being 4 hours. They kept on opening the pool and letting all the white people in and when the black folk tried to get in theg repeatedly kept closing the pool like shutting the doors in people's face talking about it was thunder and lightning!! But they had just let in a group of white folk so I'm confused! And my children were crying that made me angry that we waited all that time just to not get let in the pool over lies and racism it's sad!!!!!!
Me and my family came up here today. I wasn’t sure what to do about the kid struggling to swim in the deep end because there was no lifeguard surveilling. It is so sad to see people not doing their job. It is very cheap to get in though.
Good place to go for a swim, only 4.00 for adults 2 and under free No concession stand
