This place is an awesome local gem. Only 3$ per person to get in. Plenty of parking. Lifeguards on duty. Very family friendly. They have a clean beach, beautiful picnic areas, a few grills, playgrounds, sand volleyball courts, extremely clean restrooms, a nice shower to rinse off, and a large clean area to change. They also have concessions, I believe, but I can not confirm as I did not use personally. We will definitely be back here.

We just went today for the first time! We got there to find that the slides/pool are closed so you're basically paying just to swim in the lake. They will check through all of your bags before you go in just FYI. The lake was nice but we only stayed about 1.5 hours! While it was cheap to get in it was not worth it if you want to swim at a lake you should just go to the local swimming spot ! I felt like it was not well put out to the public that the slides/pool are Permanently Closed! As there are still main pictures of the slides online! Very disappointing and will not be returning!

Trying to find a spot to put down our blanket where there wasn’t poop was almost impossible and having to watch where you’re walking in the sand. My kids wanted to build sand castles but there was not enough space without poop to build anything or play in the sand. It’s also a health hazard especially with toddlers that touch everything and put their hands in their mouth. It never used to be like that, they would always clean the beach before opening.

Gross. The amount of poop on the beach was literally ridiculous! Also the slides are permanently closed so like the Google listings kinda misleading. Water was clear and warm and cafe was cute and nostalgic but I will never be visiting this beach again.

DON'T GO HERE UNLESS YOU ARE 100% SURE THERE WON'T BE LIGHTNING DURING YOUR TIME THERE. THE STAFF WILL NOT VERBALLY WARN YOU EVEN IF YOU ASK OF ANY POSSIBILITIES OF EARLY CLOSING. THE SLIDE HAS BEEN CLOSED FOR A LONG TIME NOW. SNACK SHOP HAS VERY MINIMAL AMOUNT OF ITEMS. SAVE YOUR MONEY.
