Clean swimming facility featuring a kiddie pool as well as adult lap swims and lessons.
Specific, consistently published heated temperatures for the pools at Nappanee Public Pool are not readily available. As a seasonal outdoor facility, the water temperature generally fluctuates with the ambient air temperature and sun exposure throughout the summer season.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? The pool is largely praised as an inexpensive and fun destination for families and kids, offering a deep end for jumping, a snack bar with low prices, and special events like floating obstacle courses and movie nights. Many reviewers noted an improvement in the lifeguard staff, describing them as attentive, friendly, and ensuring safety. However, common criticisms include a strict 'no personal pool items' policy (floaties, life vests, toys) in the main pool, which can hinder children learning to swim, and an overly shallow kiddie pool. Additionally, some visitors reported issues with staff rudeness and inconsistency in rule enforcement, particularly regarding personal swimming aids like life jackets and goggles. Despite these drawbacks, its affordability and engaging activities make it a recommended spot for many.

Good place to bring kids and have fun! The hours are changes now from 1-9 and there is no longer 6 people doing nothing in the concessions. You can tell the life guards this year are much different in a better way! And although there are no diving boards, the price is cheap and you can jump in the deep end of 11 feet!
Awesome, price is only $2.50. And they have fun times every once in a while such as, floating obstacle course, and a movie nights. And there is a snack bar where prices are pretty low if you ask me. The lifeguards are very nice. Most of them. And there will always be someone watching 24/7. Very fun place to chill and relax. So, coming from a teenager who has lived in Nappanee all her life, and has gone to that pool all of the time, I really recommend!
It's okay. You're not allowed to have any kind of pool items in the pool. No floaties, life vest, toys, etc. So if you want to let your kid swim and they're still learning you'll have to be in the water to hold them up. There is a kiddie pool that maybe goes 2 feet at the deep end... not much to help train with. The big pool starts at maybe 4 ft to 6ft? I'm not a huge fan. There are decent size bathrooms for boys and girls. There is a concession stand as well. Cost is cheap too.
The pool is a lot of fun for the family on a hot summer day. Very inexpensive for a fun day. The staff needs to work on their tone of voice they use with people. There is a difference between being rude and stern. These high school students are lethargic, rude and disrespectful especially for first time family’s that have questions. They seem to change their rules depending on who’s working. Sometimes when you go to the pool your child can bring their own life jacket and goggles and other time we’re told we can not bring our own. Sometimes employees will let us use their goggles and then other time employees will tell us that they don’t hand them out to people to use.
I love goin to the pool and I feel safe cuz there are lifeguards and they are nice not strict and it’s really nice to go!
