Indoor and outdoor pools, including a kiddie pool, plus water slides.
The Elko City Aquatic Center maintains specific temperatures for its various pools: the leisure pool is kept between 86-88 degrees F (30-31.1 degrees C), the lap pool between 81-83 degrees F (27.2-28.3 degrees C), and the hot tub is typically 102-104 degrees F (38.9-40 degrees C).
What are people saying (AI review summary)? The reviews present a mixed but predominantly negative view of the pool facility. Positive aspects mentioned include a clean environment and friendly staff (though some found staff rude), with one user noting the perfect water temperature for evening lap sessions. However, numerous issues were highlighted: frequent overcrowding, uncomfortably cold water (especially the outdoor kiddie pool and for general swimming), and strict, often poorly communicated rules for children (e.g., age/height restrictions, mandatory swim tests for slides, and no flotation devices on slides). Reviewers also criticized the lack of amenities such as rental flotation devices or snacks, a run-down building appearance, and a general lack of 'fun' features for kids. Customer service was frequently described as rude, particularly regarding refund requests. Hygiene concerns about the group showers were also raised by a diabetic user. Overall, many reviewers felt it was not a good value and would not return, particularly families with young children.

Great experience. Clean and friendly. Sometimes there are too many people and if you’re with children, be very aware. I won’t shower there because I’m a type 1 diabetic and I do not want to get any fungal infections in my feet.
It was decent. The pool water temp was perfect. I enjoyed my time during lap session in the evening. Did not like the group shower.
The only reason I give this pool one star is because there is no option for zero stars! Took the grandkids there. My 6 yr old has to stay in the kiddie pool but the kiddie pool is outside and too cold for little kids. It was also only up to his thighs. He was not allowed to be in the bigger pool even though he was doing just fine in there and I stood next to him the whole time. They did not have any floatation devices for the kids to rent or buy and didn’t have any snacks to purchase. No slides, no nothing fun for the kids so we left after half hour. I won’t be back. Rude employees and run down building. Save your money and time and go to the park.
Went to take the nephew to use the water slides. Got there, paid and made our way through the changing room to then find a sign above the slides. Stating that only once you pass a swim test can you go down the slides. Nephew is only 3 yrs old and can swim while using a life jacket. Kids cannot go down the slides with a flotation device. Left because that was the only reason to go in the first place. Asked for a refund as we did not do any swimming. Girl at the front desk was very rude and said they don’t do refunds. Only after calling for 3 days in a row, I did finally speak to a manager. He was also rude while on the phone but did say I could get a refund. Girl was very rude again while picking up said refund.
My son likes to visit the pool. I find the water too cold for my liking. It would be nice if it were warmer. It hurts my body to be in cold water, when your tense trying to get used to the temperature. If it's busy, you're likely not going to adjust because you're unable to swim in congested areas. I don't know how elderly people deal with it, but if it is cold for a 39 year old female I would imagine it is cold for our elderly community?
