About

Facility featuring 3 indoor pools, a warm-water pool, and a fitness center, plus lessons and classes.

The facility typically features a lap pool, which is generally maintained around 80-81°F (26-27°C), and a warmer instructional/recreational pool, often kept at approximately 88-90°F (31-32°C), suitable for lessons, therapy, and family use.

What are people saying (AI review summary)? This facility, attached to Sheldon High School, offers an indoor aquatic center with three pools (including a 25-yard lap pool and a warm water pool) and a hot tub, along with a small gym. Recent renovations are noted as beneficial for younger families, though a significant drawback is the lack of readily available life jackets for public use, even in the warm water pool which can be too deep for toddlers. Staffing issues are a concern, with reports of unreturned calls and a perceived lack of experienced supervision, leading to inconvenient schedules, especially for working adults seeking evening access to the warm water pool. On the positive side, the facility is generally clean and well-maintained, and the parent/child swim introduction program is praised for its hands-on approach in a suitable pool depth for infants. Additionally, the complex features great turf fields with ample parking and a lively atmosphere, making it a good venue for sports events.

This is a city pool attached to Sheldon High School. It's indoors and contains three pools and a hot tub. One of them is a 25-yard pool used by the school and swim teams. It also has a mini-gym with cardio equipment and one weight machine. It's simple and certainly not the most appealing swimming pool in town, but it does its basic job.

The new renovations are great for younger families, but make sure you bring your own life jacket!! Even the warm water pool that is obviously designed for young children is up to almost 4 feet deep. Unfortunately the only life jackets they have are for "swim lessons only" (seems counter-intuitive to me) so our toddler had to stay stuck to his dad the whole time, leading to a lot of disappointment.

Great turf fields, lot's of parking spots clean bathrooms & the atmosphere was amazing, my youngest son had a soccer game while there was a girls baseball game where the crowd was loud and having so much fun. Great experience!

The staff that runs this place are either not there or too busy to take phone calls and won't return phone calls. It seems to be only young kids that actually run this pool. There is no good schedule for late afternoon and no evening time in the warm water pool for exercise. So the people that work and pay taxes for this community pool don't even get to use this warm water pool to exercise in. Something needs to change!

We took the parent/ child introduction to swimming. I liked that you actually got in a pool (3 1/2 ft deep) with the infants - some pools only let you in the shallow swim area that's 18in of water with infants. It just sounds cold. Swim for half an hour twice a week was perfect for an 8mo. Staff are friendly, facility is smaller but clean and well taken care of.
