HealthSport Eureka features an indoor heated pool. A warmer whirlpool or spa area is also generally available.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? Healthsport receives mixed feedback, with some members appreciating the quality machines, classes, and service. However, a significant number of reviews highlight dissatisfaction with operational aspects and customer interactions. Common complaints include the high cost of day passes ($30 per adult, even for short visits) and the lack of guest or military discounts, often coupled with rude and disrespectful front desk staff. Members also express frustration over limited weekend hours (closing at 5 PM), the reduction of free floor workout space due to new 'pay-extra' programs and additional classes, and the closure of private stretching rooms, leading to concerns about diminishing membership value.

Great place. I have a membership for my whole big family … always great service and quality machines and quality classes that you can take. My only pet peeve is that on a Saturday they close at five, and I’m sorry if I have a sitter on the weekend. I want to go swimming. I want to go sit in the sauna, and I can’t do that in the evening or if I get done with some event I’m doing on the weekend. I want to relax before I go to get my kids and change. I wish they were just open later. I mean to me, I would think that they would stay open later also on the weekend, but I get it. Maybe it’s just too expensive. But definitely maybe something to think about. A health sport.
I’m a traveling nurse and was a member for a year a year ago and recently rejoined because I’m back in the area for work. I like the multiple locations and overall they fulfill my gym needs. However an event that just happened has me questioning changing gyms. Myself and my boyfriend (who is visiting from out of town) stopped by to workout under a day pass. We were informed that it was $30! $30 is outrageous for a small town gym in the middle of nowhere. I pay $59 a month and you’re telling me that doesn’t include a day pass? Not only that but when my boyfriend told him he’s active military and asked if that would have an effect on the cost, the male behind the counter very nonchalant and rude said “cool”. This has left a very sour taste in my mouth and think Healthsport needs a refresher in customer service.
It's just ok. They recently closed both small private stretching rooms to accommodate their new pay-extra programs. It's unfortunate that there aren't many gyms in the local area to choose from, with limited weekend hours until 5. They don’t offer any guests discount including kids using the pool.
I am new to the area, I had came in with my husband and grandchild to go swimming. Mind you, only an hour and they charge 30 dollars per adult to just swim for an hour! And on top of that the front desk gentleman was very disrespectful and had a horrible demeanor. If you’re looking for a quick swim don’t come here if you want to spend a fortune.
“No more space here” is what the website should say. Never enough space to do simple floor workouts. They keep talking spaces away and adding more classes and private classes which take up the last but if space left. Less and less worth the membership price. Shoved aside once again 😒
