Fun for all ages! Family-friendly recreation center offering an Olympic-sized pool, water slides, and a splash pad. My son and I recently attended his best friend‘s birthday party that was held at the Peak Health Aquatic Center at MylanPark. This was a great time! This is the home of Mountaineer Swimming and Diving. Not only do they have pools for these lessons that are for members only but they also have the fun aquatic area for the kids. This is the largest kids area I think I’ve seen in a place to date. My son and his friends had an absolutely wonderful time. The kid’s aquatic area has water slides and kids slides. Different water play items and sections to swim. In the hallway, an arcade offers the kids some additional fun. Air hockey, driving games and crane machines. Restrooms are available near the larger members only pool. Water fountains, and water fill up areas also available. If you are in need of a microwave, there are two of them in the hall area. Food can be purchased upfront near the entrance along with any health and beauty items that you may have forgotten to bring with you. Lessons are offered here and there is an area in the hallway where you can find all the pamphlets you need for what is offered. Employees are very polite and greet with a smile. * Wheelchair, accessible, parking lot and entrance.
This establishment was very well organized and clean. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and they accommodate needs very well. They are always glad to help and it is easy to tell they love working there. The public water park is very family friendly as there is a splash pad as well as a swimming pool with lanes and water slides. There is also and outdoor splash pad as well There is also a members only pool that is Olympic sized with multiple lanes. There is also diving boards for anyone wanting to do a high dive if you are on the swim team. Overall, this establishment is very well clean, organized, and family friendly. That is why it deserves a 5 star rating.
Good for prepping for military training, sports or any athletic activity. The aquatic center has a pool open from 4 to 8 and a gym upstairs open 4 to 9. Showers and lockers. Its very family friendly so it's best to go with a relative/friend to not feel alone. There's another gym called the pro fitness that has a basketball court and a gym with good equipment and less people working out. Yet the aquatic center is the only place with showers and lockers.
So fun! Water slides are the best! Great for parties!
A complete aquatic center with Olympic size pool, high dive platform, and a track and field area for an additional sport venue. Plenty of parking on premises. The challenge is the road off the highway. West Virginia should consider updating the 2 lane road with no traffic lights to improve access/departure. This is a popular venue - an improved roadway would add to the facilities attributes.
