Governors' RV Park & Indoor Waterpark

About

Governors' RV Park & Indoor Waterpark, located at 601 Industrial Blvd, Casselton, ND, is a modern and family-friendly destination offering full-service RV sites alongside a substantial indoor waterpark. It provides a convenient and entertaining stay with amenities like pull-through sites, full hookups, and a climate-controlled waterpark featuring slides, a lazy river, splash pads, and a hot tub for year-round enjoyment.

The indoor waterpark features heated pools, maintained at comfortable, family-friendly temperatures typical for an indoor facility. While specific temperatures for all pools are not publicly listed, hot tubs generally operate within the 100-104°F (38-40°C) range.

What are people saying (AI review summary)? This RV park is generally seen as a convenient option for a quick overnight stay, offering full hookups and a good location off I-94, particularly as it's one of the few full hookup choices near Fargo. Some appreciate the accommodating staff and level, pull-through sites. However, the park receives consistent criticism for significant road noise, a lack of shade, and being more akin to a 'glorified parking lot' or industrial site with small spaces and many long-term residents. The associated waterpark and hotel facilities are overwhelmingly described as run-down, moldy, and with broken features, not matching online depictions. The waterpark also requires an additional, often significant fee for RV guests. While suitable for a basic, short stop, visitors are strongly advised to manage expectations, especially concerning the waterpark, which is largely considered a major disappointment.

Not a bad urban RV park. Full hookups, laundry, and shower facilities. It's in a good location off of I-94. There is a lot of road noise, that would be the downfall. Drive through sites $59, back in sites $49. Waterpark and fitness center cost $12/ day per person.

Was going to rent a room here so we could take my son swimming but decided to just come for the day. I am so happy we didn’t stay! The place is so run down. There is some sort of foam pad instead of concrete so it’s moldy everywhere you walked. The pool was so cold and mold was growing all over the park and slides. Half the showers don’t work. My son got chlorine burns on the tops of his feet. I was very disappointed because the pictures online made it seem like it would have been a great experience. Also half the hotel is closed and the restaurant that is attached to it was closed too. For a Saturday there was no one there that was the only positive part of the experience but there was a reason for no one being there.

As others have said, it's a glorified parking lot. No shade. When it rains, mud and puddles abound. The park is also next to a frontage road that must go to the local grain mill because all day long tractor trailer grain haulers are running up and down the road. Lots of construction crews staying here and what appear to be long term residents. It doesn't "feel" like an RV park as much as it does a commercial job housing site. Lots of diesel trucks and guys with bright yellow and orange shirts on all over the place. As for the water park, it's sad, really. The website pictures are deceptive. They must have been taken when the park was first built. Several of the fountains in the kiddie pool no longer function. The floor of the pool is in pretty bad shape. All of the lily pads are gone for the cargo net thingie. No concession stand. No lifeguard. AND it's not included for the RV park people, only the hotel. Not sure if it's just being mismanaged or they're not bringing in the revenue to keep it up, but it is a shell of what it used to be. This was a short stay for us and I specifically chose it so my girls could play in the water park...and they did, but it was disappointing and cost me almost $60. If you need a place to stay in a pinch this place will probably do but if you're coming for the water park? Hard pass.

It is what it is…a place for a quick overnight. Right off the highway. Nothing to recommend it other than being the only full hookups near Fargo. No trees or anywhere nice to walk. About 20 minutes west of Fargo. Small spaces, basically in an industrial park. About 60% live there it seems, 40% travelers. Some pretty rundown rigs. Desk person very nice and helpful. Looked like a big laundry, but we didn’t go in. No picnic tables or fire ring. A Dairy Queen is a three minute walk next to a Dollar store. For a longer stay in Fargo the Lindenwood park campground was nice, but not full hookups. We didn’t go into the hotel to see the “waterpark,” which is entirely inside. Pictures, name and some of the reviews are somewhat misleading, so expected something different and were disappointed.
