Guests frequently praise the friendly, helpful, and engaging nature of the hosts. The cabins are noted for being very clean, comfortable, and appropriately sized. While early reviews under new ownership mentioned issues like unkempt grounds and a closed or green pool, subsequent experiences indicate improvements, with the pool often described as great and open, and bathhouses generally clean with hot water, though some found them a bit messy or not ideally located. RV and tent sites are typically well-equipped with water and electric hookups, though a tight turn for large RVs on exit and a suggested dump station turnaround were mentioned. The campground is valued for its reasonable rates, peaceful and secluded atmosphere perfect for stargazing and nature observation, and its convenience to state parks and float trips (often with good referrals for external services).

Fantastic Campground! I have so many nice things to say about this place. My wife and I took a trip down here for some tent camping and local hikes with our dog and this was a fantastic spot to lay our heads. It has everything you need in a campground at an extremely reasonable rate and the owners are the nicest hosts I've ever experienced. The bath house was clean (and air conditioned!), the pool was awesome to take a quick dip in after our hikes and the location is convenient to quite a few state parks. Best camping experience we've had this year!
The campground was very peaceful! The grounds weren’t really kept up and the pool was green, pool was not open so that was a big disappointment for our son. In all fairness the guy informed us he had just taken ownership a month and a half ago. He was extremely nice and helpful. He even gave us free wood for our fire pit. Getting to the campground we pull a 21ft RV and it was fine, it’s a twisty dirt road but what do you expect when you’re in the woods. The way in was no problem the way out was a challenge, if you’re pulling out to the right the curve was a bit tight idk if a really big RV could make the turn. The dump station was fine with all the necessary hook ups even had a back up hose and we were able to dump with no problem. There does need to be a turn around added for the dump station, we had to turn around in the grass area which could easily be turned into a great turn around. The sites were great they had water hook up and electric, we had no problems with our site, we actually loved our site! The campground has tons of promise, excited to see how the new ownership runs it
The pool was open and it was great the showers were very good and clean the toilets were very good and clean hospitality was very nice. Campground is nice and quiet secluded the stars are amazing the nature around there the deer the raccoons just made it all a very good experience for the whole group nice bonfire the cabins were great very clean very comfortable we've actually stayed there three times and would stay there a lot more in the future. The owners are awesome they came down and sat with us for a little while and watch this make s'mores don't stories we had an awesome wonderful fabulous time and we'll go again tell all my friends.
We just stayed here Fri-Sunday and stayed in cabin 4. We arrived a little early and they allowed us to check in anyhow. The pool was open and the bathrooms had hot water for showers. The bathrooms were a little messy, and not exactly close but functional and free, so no real complaints. This campground does not have water access, but referred us out to Franklin Floats and they were great to work with as well. For the price, it’s a good deal. We look forward to next years trip.
Our float was a ton of fun and the property managers, drivers, store folks were awesome, friendly and anything we needed- was quite refreshing. The cabin we stayed in was the perfect size, very clean and just what we needed. Our next trip is already planned and with a bigger group so we’ll check out tent camping then, but looks great and spacious. The rafts were in great shape and the float itself was just right, not too slow, but plenty of time to party and enjoy several beverages. Highly recommend them!
