What are people saying (AI review summary)? Reviews for this aquatic center are mixed, often leaning negative. Common complaints include the high cost ($7 per person), inconvenient entrance location not near parking, and unhygienic conditions like a dead bird and feathers in the pool on opening weekend. Several patrons noted issues with the lifeguards being inattentive, often observed flirting rather than supervising, though one lifeguard, Colton Roark, was specifically praised. The music was described as excessively loud, and the concession stand lacked cold water bottles. A significant point of frustration was the refund policy, with one family experiencing rudeness and difficulty obtaining a refund after the pool closed for lightning immediately after they paid, despite not having entered the water. The facility is generally recommended for younger children (2-6 years old), with older kids advised to seek alternatives like the Monett YMCA for a better experience. Despite these issues, it can be less crowded on a Wednesday afternoon.

We came in the afternoon on a Wednesday. It wasn’t too crazy. The entrance is oddly not near the parking lot. The cost of $7 per person was a bit too much.
We've tried this aquatic center in the past and just thought it was "ok". So we decided to give it another try and was left with the same feeling. The lifeguards most definitely pay more attention to flirting with each other than to the children swimming. Now I'm not one to complain about music, but why in the world is the music so loud? So loud that you have to yell to hear anyone speak. No cold water bottles to purchase at the concession stand. If your kiddos are more in the 2-6 year range, they will probably love this pool. Any older, I'd say make a trip to the Monett YMCA for a better experience and more attentive lifeguards.
Colton Roark is the best lifeguard
We tried to go here with my family last Saturday. The radar had a pop up shower above Cassville closer to Monett. We thought we would be fine. We got to the pool and people were still swimming, so we went up to the counter & paid. The whistle was blew for everyone to get out because they said they seen lightening. We just then found a place to put our bags/towels. We waited 10 minutes in the sun and my one year old was getting fussy. I went to the counter to get my money back because we haven't even stepped foot in the water! They were making a big deal out of giving me my money back. Manager had to come up to the front and he told us this would be the only time I would get my money back. Said I need to be aware of the weather from now on. I thought the whole process was a little rude considering we didn't even step foot in the water.
Really should clean your pool prior to opening on Memorial Day weekend. Dead bird / feathers all in the water.
