Very good club. They have group training classes, basketball court, lockers, showers, jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, towel service, racquetball. I think they also have a kids club. There is an indoor pool and a large outdoor pool with 4 lanes and free swimming area. The pool water is cold and refreshing on hot summer days. The area has a resort feel. If you want to use one of the lanes, it is better to reserve ahead. They take reservations up to 3 days ahead. The gym is clean and well equipped. Towels, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner are provided. You need to bring a lock if you want to use one of the lockers.
FAC is always great. They stay on top of their equipment and offer a lot of classes, have 2 locations and 3 pools between them. Kiddo summer camp is a mixed bag each year but overall a good option.
Definitely more than just a gym. As the name would suggest. Other than weights there’s a variety of activities where the focus is simply be active and healthy. Although for me I wish there was more Hammer strength equipment on this side of town. Other than that, there’s a lot of vintage vibes here like 1980s-ish from the building designs to the age of some equipment. It’s a very senior friendly place which is good for the baby boomer community.
It's a older gym with outdated locker rooms. After their recent locker room "renovation ' the hot tub has been at 101 degrees instead of the 102-103 posted in the locker room. And the shampoo/soap is diluted as well as the sauna and steam room not being as hot as pre-renovation. So quit being a cheap-skate and turn the hot tub up and quit diluting the shampoo. I'm responding to your response. The advertised (posted as you said) hot tub temperature is 102-103. Since the locker room update the thermometer in the hot tub has consistently read 101. Last week when I saw the maintenance guy check the temperature I guessed it was 101. He said "yes that's it". So if you turn it up a little bit it would appreciated. I also talked to a few other members in the tub and they said the sauna and steam room haven't been as hot either. Ive submitted a couple cards in the suggestion box with no results so that's why I'm posting here. Also, there is a thermometer in the hot tub and I bet the maintenance person it was 101 in tje hot tub. Sure enough it was 101. And anyone can read it. So dont lie and say its maintained at 102 (posted is 102 -103). The thermometer is right there. Turn it back up we can tell its not 102-103.
Walked into the FAC to inquire about a membership and to get a tour of their facility cause my daughter told me about some of the amenities FAC has to offer! I'm currently at Planet Fitness, but the idea of a hot tub along with the workout equipment seemed very enticing! Girl at the entrance told me to take a seat and the guy in the office, who was on the phone, would give me a tour of the place shortly. I waited and waited while he had this lengthy conversation to the person on the phone. After he got off the phone he just sat in his office while I still waited for him to give me a tour. Then a member walks into his office with a problem and he proceeds to help the member with his issue while I wait even more. I ended up walking out. Planet Fitness may not have the amenities that this place has, but their customer service is a million miles ahead of these folks! It's sad cause I really wanted to get a membership there!
