Clean facility, built in 2016, for swimmers and divers featuring an Olympic-size pool plus tennis courts.
The main competition pool at the NAU Wall Aquatic Center is generally maintained at a temperature ranging from 79-81 degrees Fahrenheit (approximately 26-27 degrees Celsius).
What are people saying (AI review summary)? The aquatic center receives high marks for its clean Olympic-sized pool, well-maintained facilities, and friendly staff, with one reviewer highlighting an underwater bubble machine for divers. However, a major point of frustration, particularly for annual pass holders, is the frequent and often unannounced pool closures, coupled with ineffective communication about these changes. Other suggestions for improvement include more frequent hot tub access and the provision of hair dryers, especially during winter. For events like swim meets, parking is available for a fee, and the second-floor viewing area can be hot and humid, with bleacher-style seating where personal folding chairs are permitted on the top level.

For our kids HS swim meet we parked in the structure ($16 day/$4 hour). We waked to the aquatic center (a block or so) and entered at pool deck level (parents not allowed on deck). Aquatics event viewing is on the 2nd floor with bleacher style seating. You can bring your own folding chairs and set them up on the top level. Also it’s very hot and humid in here in September so dress accordingly
Amazing venue! They actually have a giant bubble making machine underwater, to ease the pain if a diver splats! The facilities are always clean, the staff friendly.
Great olympic sized pool, dressing rooms and restrooms are always clean. I just wish the hot tub would be open more frequently and a hair dryer would be nice, especially in the winter months when it's freezing outside.
My wife and I have purchased the annual pass 2 years consecutively. I think my perspective is quite objective now. Last year, I trained for an IM event. There were at least 7 occasions I went to the pool and it was closed. They would post signage on their entry doors stating they were closed for whatever their reasons were. This year, it’s been 4 or more times. And this has occurred without any notification. They’ve told us to keep an eye on IG for all updates. There’s rarely if anything ever posted about pool closures. It’s mostly to parade their new hires. In a world of social media, email and text messages, and add in the exorbitant annual pass cost, you’d think someone at NAU would be able to figure how to communicate with their clientele effectively. They, unfortunately are the only full size pool in the region. It’s no wander today’s college graduates are unable to hold an intelligent conversation face to face. NAU administration cannot even operate a pool and is failing the community that supports them.
The facilities are always clean, the staff friendly.
