So we brought our grandkids from Texas here during their summer break. The ages ranged from 4 to 13. Overall the kids had a great time and so did the adults. The positives were it is spacious, has all the amenities (including adult beverages at the swim up bar), and is family friendly. The only negatives were the cool draft when they opened the outdoor pool door, the lazy river seemed too shallow for adults, and the new slides were slower than the old water park's down the hall. Our kids spent half the time over there. The first aid room looked top notch and lockers were plentiful. Towels require a $20 deposit I am told so we brought our own. All in all it was a great time.

My son turned 13 on Monday and so we decided to stay one night at Bavarian Inn and hit the water park. We stayed Sunday night and left on Monday. I selected a package that had 4 chicken dinners, 4 breakfast vouchers, 4 passes to play 1 game of 18-hole putt-putt golf, and 4 $10 game cards to use in the arcade. It was just over $500 for all of this. We had an amazing time overall. The food was great. There are several different pools all throughout the Bavarian Inn, including an adults only, 21 years & older pool/hot tub area, and at least 2 other spots to swim other than the new water park, the Bavarian Blast. The swim up bar has an indoor/outdoor pool attached to it. It has several slide options, a wave pool, lazy river and a small children area. You are able to rent cabanas that include TV's, fans, a mini fridge, etc. There are several different packages to choose from. We had a wonderful time and will def come here again!

Bavarian Blast Waterpark is a brand new waterpark in Michigan. Get your tickets in advance as prices increase the day of. Ideal for families with younger children. Of their 16 watersides, 1 is a toddler slide, 5 are short slides, and 4 are mid-height slides. There is not a jungle gym type area, but there is the huge water dumping bucket. The wave pool is small, with a maximum depth of 5 feet during waves. The waves go on every 15 minutes and last for 10. The floor of the wave pool is smooth. The lazy river is also small. The jets were really forceful in some places. There is a small pool in the middle of the lazy river. Currently (soft opening), tubes are not required for the lazy river. It was a little chaotic and "not so lazy". There is an adult only pool will the only swim up bar in Michigan. It shares water with the adult only hot tub. There is another hot tub that allows all ages. Both are indoor and outdoor hot tubs. Activity pool with several basketball hoops and a crossing challenge. Seating is limited. We arrived about an hour after opening and couldn't find anything. They have lots of reserved sections that you can reserve. These range from a table and 4 chairs to a small area with a couple tables and chairs to a cabana with a TV. Large lockers are available to store your gear. Food options are decent, but I don't know the price. Pros- lots of stuff for elementary aged kiddos. - smooth wave pool floor - everything in one area - towels haven't been washed enough to be scratchy and they are actually beach towel sized.

Bavarian Blast is the most fun resort/theme park I've been to! More fun than Disney, Kalahari, Soak City, and other waterparks I've visited! Between the large arcade, waterpark, pools, and delicious food, this place is the best! It has a Frankenmuth MI charm that other resorts will never achieve. It has something for everyone. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Hardly any negatives in the entire experience. Will absolutely be coming back soon.

The new park is quite nice and is overall an enjoyable experience. Our 5yr old thoroughly enjoyed that he could go on every slide, with 42" being the tallest height requirement for the most thrilling slides. The park was clean and the lines were not too bad during spring break. There was enough variety to keep us entertained throughout the day and there were ample chairs/seating to keep our stuff. However, we did run into a few issues. First, the water outside of the hot tub areas was not very warm. We've been to other parks and enjoyed them more due to the water being about 10F warmer. Second, the wave pool doesn't run often enough. And the ground material they used in the wave pool is incredibly slippery. It's going to injure someone. Lastly, we waited over 10 minutes to get our drinks at the bar with no one around and the bartenders did not know how to make the drinks. I get this was a soft launch, but perhaps don't overcharge ($100/person) when you're still working out the kinks.
