Very nice waterpark but super busy. We got there before they opened and we had a very long line to wait in. The staff gets you in quickly though. I appreciate the free lockers but they go fast. We were able to get chairs but one was broken. The tube slide was out of order but there were workers there the whole time trying to fix it. The lazy river and other water slides were enjoyable. The pool was so crowded we couldn’t get in. A lot of kids running around and in the lazy river without parents. But all the lifeguards kept them in check.
We rented a cabana for my granddaughter's birthday, which was such a treat. It was perfect for her little party. She loved the water and really wasn't concerned with opening presents initially. We were a bit worried about the weather, but it all worked out for the best. We all still were able to get plenty of sun and fun. My grandson was brave and went down the innertube water slide, and he enjoyed it. I love the lazy river, which was my favorite.
We are big fans of Tropicanoe Cove! It's a nice sized, city-owned water park tucked away in Lafayette. The parking isn't the greatest, but you can usually find a decent spot. The concession stand is great and has a lot of variety. The park is a great deal for $12. Pro tip: get a cabana! Under $100 for the entire day, food gets delivered, and you have a nice shady spot with a fridge and lots of seating. Admission is still separate though! When we camp at Prophetstown we usually make a day out of Tropicanoe Cove.
A fun little waterpark but you'll probably only spend 1-2 hours max because there is only a couple slides, 1 swimming pool, and a lazy river. Best for a family with small kids. You can bring coolers and water bottles inside. The staff are friendly and customer service was good.
Hands down, best waterpark experience. I would drive back to avoid the crowds at Deep River and unoperational slides at Indiana Beach. The Cove is part of a network of parks that include paddle boating, zoo, train, and ballpark. The Cove is very clean, manicured, and well kept. Everyone was friendly. Lifeguards were attentive and interacted with guests. It was a fun time for the few hours we were there! Cost was very reasonable, $10 per guest over 48" tall. Highly recommended.
