What are people saying (AI review summary)? The reviews generally describe a great neighborhood pool with many amenities for families, including a big slide, splash pad (often free for little ones), diving boards, and lap lanes. Patrons appreciate the ample lifeguards, shaded areas with tables, and the allowance of outside food and drink. Swim lessons are noted as consistent and effective. However, some common criticisms include the facility being a bit dated, and that it can get chaotic and difficult to track children when busy, especially on free admission days. A significant safety concern was raised regarding an unsupervised toddler, with a lifeguard stating their role is to watch the water, not to supervise individual children, advising patrons to alert a manager for such issues.

My daughter had a great time going down the big slide for the 1st time. I talked with the life guard at the bottom and they were ready for her. It was a lot of fun and we are lucky to have this great pool for our kids
An excellent neighborhood pool. Lots of lifeguards on duty, lots of chairs. The pool has shady areas on grass, as well as covered areas with tables. Open swim normally starts at 130, arriving then guarantees a chair, especially on free kids admission days. The pool has 5 lap lanes to use, kickboards available by request. Outside food and drink is allowed, just not alcohol and glass. Food delivery is also possible at the front desk. 6.50 for adult admission, they sell 20 visit punch cards for 90. No military discount.
Free water park for the little ones! Awesome Grand Junction!
I saw a little boy in the kid pool yesterday who was not being supervised. He wasn't even two years old. My guess would be that he was about 18 months old. He was wearing a high quality life jacket and he was content and didn't seem scared, but I watched him for a long time and never saw an adult watching him. He started trying to get out of the pool and I still couldn't find an adult that was watching him. I got nervous and approached the lifeguard. He said there was nothing he could do. As I learned, their job is to always watch the water. What I took from the experience is they are not babysitters. Fair. I was told to alert a manager if I notice a child that small not being supervised.
My kids love the LP pool. It is fairly big and has great diving boards, space to play, a splash pad for the littles (free), and a fun slide. The slide is extra but everything else is included and there are weekly free days for the pool itself. The swim lessons here are really consistent and my kids have all grown so much as swimmers in their programs. The only downside is that it is a bit dated and, when it's busy (like a free day afternoon), it can be a bit chaotic and hard to track in the pool.
