What are people saying (AI review summary)? Reviews for Green Bay Pool present a mixed picture. Many patrons praise the attentive and respectful staff, friendly managers, and good lifeguard supervision, noting that the water temperature is perfect and children enjoy the waterslides. The park is appreciated for offering a variety of fun options for all ages, from shallow kiddie pools to deep ends, diving boards, and various waterslides, as well as a canteen with food and treats. However, several critical reviews express serious concerns about safety and staff competence. These reviews highlight incidents where lifeguards were perceived as distracted, not paying attention, or even absent, leading to a child struggling in the water and requiring rescue by a sibling. Staff are described as very young, unaware of rules, and poorly supervised, with reports of a director appearing underage. Issues also include long waits and disorganization at concessions, and a particularly distressing account of a disabled child being denied the use of a necessary floatation device despite policies and explanations of disability, while other children were observed using similar items. These negative experiences suggest inconsistent rule enforcement and a lack of critical adult supervision, raising significant safety concerns for children.

I’ve grown up around this pool and used to enjoy it, however when attending with my family recently it is now completely and utterly unsafe. I never write reviews but I felt compelled to share how completely incompetent the staff is at this park. They’re all very young, blissfully unaware of rules while employed in a very serious role, and the city should be ashamed. Best part is, their “director” on site looked to be 16 years old and the “other person in charge” was observed for about 15+ minutes while on duty flirting with someone outside the gate, completely not guarding children. Distracted, naive, disrespectful children running a park where they are supposed to guard lives, with no critically thinking adult in sight. Concessions- I ordered a pizza, was told 15 minutes and after about 40 minutes and asking where it was they stared at me completely unaware of what I was talking about, stating “well, I went on break….” And having never even put the pizza in. My son, who has autism, was told he wasn’t allowed to wear his specifically designed float because sensory wise he cannot tolerate others, and it’s literally the same material as what the lifeguards use and he uses at his therapies. Told he couldn’t wear it, explained he has a disability, they didn’t know what that even meant. City of Green Bay website for it states to make exceptions for those with disability. Website states kids can’t have swimsuits with built in floatations, yet I saw 4 children with them but my disabled kid can’t wear his. If you’re working around children to guard lives, maybe have some knowledge of the children who are most at risk of drowning. Parents, your children are at risk here, they’re not paying attention nor following their rules consistently, it’s children running a waterpark to hang out with their friends.

I absolutely love this Waterpark! So many options of fun for kids of all ages! A very shallow kiddie pool for the little ones all the way to very deep for the more advanced/adults. A diving board as well as a short waterslide but that one, you come right out into the deep end. There are also much larger waterslides that you don't really land in a pool, so that one is great for younger kids. There's also a little toddler slide in the very shallow end of the pool. They have a canteen where they sell some hot foods like pizza and pretzels, as well as candies and slushies.

Very attentive and respectful staff. Managers were friendly, and lifeguards seemed to be paying good attention while also enforcing rules. My kids had a great time! Thank you Green Bay Pool staff for working so we can enjoy our summers at the pool 😎

8 year old daughter went off the diving board. And she was struggling to get back to safety. Yelling for help and going under... no life gaurd in site... being ignored from them... her older sister had to swim from the other side of the pool to get her... that is not ok
