What are people saying (AI review summary)? The Portland Waterpark generally receives positive feedback, especially for families with young children, offering various attractions like slides, multiple pools (including heated, shallow, and a small lazy river), and a dedicated baby area. The concession stand is often praised for its good selection and fair prices. However, there are recurring concerns regarding the bathrooms, which are described as needing major improvement and sometimes having overflowing trash bins. A significant negative experience detailed lifeguards engaging in personal exercise during duty instead of monitoring the pools, raising serious safety concerns and suggesting a lack of supervision.

LOVE IT! Employees are great, concession stand is good, the pool is heated, the lazy river is small but so relaxing during breaks! The community is so awesome. Bathrooms could use major improvement.
Went here this last Thursday for the first time as my sister and niece were in from out of town. We drove here from Muncie. Was NOT impressed. I understand life guards are young kids but DO YOUR JOB! No life guard at the top of the slides. The one girl that was “life guarding” the bottom stairs of the slides was too busy working out doing sit ups , crunches, lunges , squats and planks while the other girl life guard (heavier set with dark hair) kept time and count for all the reps the blonde girl was doing- I know this because she kept telling her how many seconds/reps she done. The 3rd (male, young, dark hair) life guard kept watch over the exercise and cheered her on. IDK how this is even allowed and no supervisor stopped it. This lasted at least 2 rotations (the rotate stands every so often), which didn’t matter because the next station she was positioned at she had her back to the pool the entire time doing some exercises on the steps inside the water. Hope she got all her reps in for the day and no one lost their lives.
Nice swim park ! Also has 2 side by side pools, a couple shallow pools and a double water slide. They sell concessions at a reasonable price too.
The kids and I have always had fun at Portland Waterpark. It is clean and has plenty of lifeguards. There is a concession stand. It has a basketball goal to play in the pool with and slides. There is a nice area for small children to play as well.
Took our boys (1,3,5) for the first time last year. The lily pads were our oldest favorite. We didn't venture out into the big pool area we stayed on the children side. The baby area was perfect for our curious one year old. The snack bar had a good selection and my boys loved their spiderman and TMNT popsicles. the prices were fair and i liked how they had a "intermission" every hour or so , so i could take my boys to the bathroom and we could reapply sunscreen. The bathrooms were tidy, but their trash cans were overflowing so i had to let the snack bar know they needed emptied, she was quick to send someone out to empty them so maybe they didn't know.
