The hotel room I booked was not clean. There was burned cigarettes in my toilet and the sink has I don't know what still in it. The skirt around the bed was ripped and tore. The whole room smelled like cigarettes. It was horrible. When we walked in my husband automatically knew he didn't want to stay. So we found another hotel to stay at for our time here and waisted our money here.

Price is good. Hotel has a very low grade. Rooms are not up to par. They need professional/qualified workers/employees that know how to run a hotel. Doesn't really operate like the average hotel. More like an apartment complex/motel. Unruly guests, children running all over the place, people cooking on grills. Unprofessional stuff going on.

I book this room through a third party (Getaroom.com) on June 25, 2021, Hotel O in Henderson Kerr Lake NC. Upon arriving the property looked poorly maintained with grass growing in the parking lot and curtains in most rooms were partially down. After driving for 9 hours, I thought that the room surly couldn’t be too bad, UNTIL I opened the door and saw live roaches running across the floor and the room was musty. I decided that this place was not for me and went to the front desk to turn my key back in and get a refund from the manager. He told me that he could not give me a refund due to the fact that he had received payment as of yet. Upon my contacting the the third party, they were told that I did not get a refund due to the fact that I was satisfied with the room, WHICH WAS A LIE. As of July 26, I am out of $71.42. Stay away from this place.

This place is unkept from the outside to the room. Room 200 was not clean, cob webs noticable, carpet wet, which in turn caused to room to smell musty. It took the TV 20 minutes to warm up and the remote was remote, it did not work. There was a hole in the sheet that looked like it was caused by some type of cigarette. All and all the room was not fit for company. There was NO signage, although there was an empty sign visible. Never have I and never will I stay in such a trashy place! I wish I could post pictures! Disgusting!!!!

I had booked this place through hotels.com a few weeks prior to traveling to Henderson. After driving 12 hours from my location to this destination, the staff was unable to find my reservation. I then went to show the confirmation email and saw an email was sent from OYO an hour prior to my arrival cancelling my reservation "as the property is under renovation." That would have been nice to know several days before and not an hour before my arrival. The property was not as described (minus the warnings from most reviews) and seemed unsafe anyway (witnessed a couple seemingly casual drug deals go down in the car next to me). I do not recommend booking a stay here, as the whole experience was sketchy and it doesn't seem the hotel is functioning appropriately for a brief stay. I didn't actually stay here, but I wouldn't select any stars regardless.
