Great hangout place in Elgin. Nice park, nice pool in the summer, and great room available to rent for parties 🥳
Great place to cool off. During the 1:30 swim expect bigger kids in the shallow area playing rough. I was in the shallow end with 2 non swimmers and they was jumped on and pushed under water on accident. Got hit in the face and head hard with volleyballs being thrown. Family swim is 5:30 - 6:30 pm. Much safer for little ones!
It was a perfect place to bring all the people who loved my Daughter together to say goodbye. Thank you again Elgin Woman's Service Club for footing the charge. Plenty of chairs and tables for use. And lots of room to gather.
Attended the annual Elgin River Fest so I could help judge the car show. MANY things to do. Firefighters served up a fantastic $5 pancake, egg, sausage breakfast, there was soap box derby racing, a duck derby, raffles, climbing wall, even a little ducky train for little kids to ride. Not to mention 70 meat cars and a bunch of old tractors. Yep, a really neat day.
You can get a season pass or punch card which makes it very affordable. Very friendly people work the front and lifeguards seem to be on top of things. Lots of open swim which locals utilize. Some lap swims each day and a family swim time as well. Warm enough water on hot days.
