Spacious public pool with multiple slides along with a snack bar and outdoor chairs.
The main pool at the Joe Humbert Family Aquatic Center is heated for comfortable swimming, though a specific temperature is not publicly provided.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? Reviews indicate a significant decline in the pool's quality and experience, particularly since the YMCA took over. Common criticisms include inattentive or rude staff, inconsistent and overly strict rules (especially for water slides), and a lack of lifeguards. The facility is described as unclean, with reports of dirty pools, debris, and an outdated appearance. Patrons also noted a reduction in available chairs and poorly stocked snack concessions. Additionally, the pool frequently reaches capacity due to YMCA groups, often without prior warning, leading to frustration and a feeling that passes are not worth the money. Overall, the current sentiment suggests a disappointing and poorly managed facility.

Had fun with the family but last I checked life guards shouldn't be playing baseball with the floats they're provided instead of watching the swimmers
Current review: seem to have less chairs then before. Pool was not as clean as I would like to see. Many leaves and debris. Another patron had food and trash at the edge of the pool and left it there. Previous review: A great place to spend a day, lots of fun for the whole family. Variety of water slides for all ages, shade trees, lounge chairs, sand box, snack bar.
This park is definitely not like Walla Walla or Pendleton. They do have a lot of rules. Which is fine for the kids they do have a height limit for the big slide which kind of sucks for your little one if they are brave enough to go on it. The exterior is Pretty Dirty. It's more like just a regular old pool with a little kids slide and medium slide and a big slide. Really not all that fancy nor is it worth $7. Definitely will not be bringing my kiddo back to this one. It's also pretty out of date pretty sure it's the same way it was 30 years ago.
We love this pool. However, the staff are the most unwelcoming and rude staff I’ve ever encountered. Thus the reason for the two stars. Realizing it’s just a public pool, but they make you feel like they don’t even know why you’re there when you walk in the front door. Their attitudes need to be addressed by management. The water slide rules need to be addressed as well. My nine year old is more than capable to go down but they wouldn’t let him. Sad.
Since the YMCA has taken over this pool has gone down drastically!!! They don't hire enough lifeguards, they don't stalk the snack concession stand so they are always "sold out", they bus kids from the YMCA (even though the YMCA has their own pools) into the pool and then close it for everyone else. Yet don't post anything to warn parents and kids that you won't be able to get in. Multiple times this year we've not been able to swim because they "filled compacity". I never would have bought a family pass if we knew the pool was going to be like this. Also every lifeguard has different rules that change all the time depending on who they are talking too. Huge waste of money.
