Once you are on Daufuskie Island easy to find the restaurant in the old Melrose resort. Lots of golf cart parking. Inside seating has views to the ocean with large windows. Lots of patio seating in warmer weather . The crab ball appetizer was outstanding. Should have doubled the order. We came for the prime rib and they delivered. Meat was cooked to order. The spice rub was delicious. The side of Mac and cheese was super cheesy. The baked potato was a little undercooked. We had naked butter only but they offered toppings. Service was good. Cost for two with a tip was over $150
Great food with an incredible view! My favorite is anything they offer with redfish, but you don't need a knife for the prime rib or filet. Located right on the Calibogie Sound with the Atlantic framed by Hilton Head and Tybee Islands.
We dined here twice this week and both nights were beyond amazing. We had a large party of 12 people and the staff was so accommodating. Our servers were Delaney the first night and Olivia the second night, both did outstanding jobs and were very friendly and attentive. And actually all the staff were awesome! Everyone in our party loved their food, it was all so delicious! The whole atmosphere was magical!!
Had a crazy expensive lunch that felt very average. Ate some pick and peel shrimp, some coconut shrimp and some fries and three alcoholic drinks (a beer and two Miami Vices) and dropped around $100. Not a great value obviously. John was working hard as our server. He was friendly too. Plastic utensils, plates and cups also seemed odd for the prices. Had competing music coming from inside the restaurant while a different station was blaring near the empty pool. Pick one. The grounds were well taken care of, but the dining was not worth it. Very limited lunch menu. We should’ve looked for another option.
Absolutely wonderful food all around. I had the coconut shrimp, and crab cakes, with the key lime pie for dessert. My girlfriend got the buttermilk breaded chicken Sandwich , with the milkyway cupcake... all of wich was Absolutely to die for! All the food was perfectly crispy and browned. ( even watching the others around us getting their food, all of it was perfectly cooked and very well presented. ) 10/10 would eat here again. Price point is about on par for this island. Both of us ate for about $100. :-)
