This park has 53 points of interest and that doesn't include the sunbathing. Shortest lines ever for the tall slides. Children's area is phenomenal. Really good food at reasonable prices. The price for entry is the cheapest of any park we've been to. Its worth the drive, the time and the price.
We recently took the family on a weekday and had an amazing time. There are water slides for even the youngest visitors as well as dry rides, a petting zoo, archery and axe throwing. The lazy river is a must for tired parents and everyone loved the wave pool. We rented a Lakeside Cabana and loved it. Dont forget the obstacle course on the lake! The service in yhr Cabana was outstanding and it was nice to have a quiet place for family to gather. Safety was also big at the park as storms moved through the area. Swimmers were pulled from all water several times until the park decided to close in the best interest of guests. We will definitely be back!
Big rivers is our favorite water park in all of the Houston area. It beats other parks in so many ways. They have free and paid parking, the paid parking is right by the entrance & the free parking is on the other side of the park so be prepared to walk a distance. The wait for tickets or for bag checks are pretty quick. The staff is very friendly & helpful. The facility is clean. The do offer special tubs for babies that have a bottom. The only downside is that you have to leave your id at the front for it, which makes you responsible to bring it back. Only downside is, when your wanting to do things outside do the wave pool to lazy river with a baby and a tube, it’s kind of alot to carry around. Your ticket includes the amusement rides, you are required to wear shirt and shoes on them. They have a water obstacle course on a pond, petting zoo, axe throwing, bow and arrows, maze & so much more. The kids area is hands down the best design I’ve seen. The food however is not great, and the prices for food are wild. Great park, something for everyone.
Dry rides were nice but most geared towards younger kids. Nice water slides but the ground was so hot it was hard to walk around. Bring water shoes! Axe throwing wasn't the best, archery, maze, petting zoo with only goats, and a baby alligator you could pet. Free parking is about a 5 min walk.
This is a great place to bring all ages, fun for the day 1st time there we will go again... drinks and food can be expensive. 20oz bottle of water was 4.65 super expensive so would recommend bring an empty water bottle like they say....but for the drinks and to get in and to enjoy the day for 2dults and 4kids will run u about 500. Give or take some.... but over all it was fun.... plenty of seating, we paid 20 for the parking, but they have free parking. We was one of the 1st ones in line,... they opened at 11am.... we stayed most of the day....
