Patty the manager is outstanding, as is her assistant. We had a couple issues with our motor home and Patty was more than helpful getting me the right person i needed to get some help. The campground she runs is also outstanding. Kid and pet friendly, plenty for the kids to do. Miniature golf, a huge playground and a very nice and clean pool . My grandkids loved it there. We do a lot of camping and KOA is in our top 10 places to go to.
Great staff, wonderful location and super clean pool. Lots of fun family activities, truly a very nice place. For sure we will stay here again if we find ourselves in this neck of the woods. Attended Kid Rock festival Boyd County fairgrounds…. Super close, beautiful here 👍 We had Camper, but they had cute cottages to stay here as well 😊⛺️
The KOA is easy access from highway and beautiful surroundings. No shade, but it was ok when we got in at 7pm. I saw some newly planted trees though. The lower level is nested in a valley, very peaceful at sunset. The pond is really small with stagnant water and unknown stuff. You can’t see more than a couple of inches deep. The bathroom is reasonably clean but really needs updates, and one of the 2 showers on the woman’s side is under renovation. I am hopeful this place will be much better in a year.
Super close and convenient for our mini vacation. Pool was super warm and clean, trail was nice and kids had fun on the jumping pad. We had a great time and the staff was helpful and friendly.
This was the first time my family and I decided to go camping. We check in on Wednesday and was going to leave Saturday but left Friday instead. This place ruined our first camping experience. There are two levels to this place. The top part is where all the fun stuff and happy camping traveling families are. People sitting outside grilling, talking to their new neighbors and having a blast. Then you have the second part...the lower part......the full timers in their nice mobile homes. That's where they put us at. Way way in the back of the lower part right next to the dumpster. A lot of people that look like they live there but no one was outside. You would only see people come and go once in awhile. Didn't get to meet anyone down there. We wouldn't even been able to see the fireworks that they are having from down there. Even though this was the whole point of coming to this camp ground. I'm a disabled combat veteran and I'm used to sleeping in some sad smelling places, but not my wife and kids. This didn't feel like the magical place the website made it sound like. When we went to the office and told them we were leaving, they said they could move us up to the top for our last night. After sleeping next to the dumpster for 2 nights and making friends with the 3 raccoons and already packed up, didn't see the point of unpacking and all that just for one night. So back home we went. So just make sure they don't put you in the lower level. Why even put someone who is in a tent away from everyone in tents. Felt like I was an illegal alien and they were trying to hide me from ICE. Thank you for doing that but I was born here. We are definitely going to another place. Oh and fishing, looks like u can get some kind of disease from their little pond in the lower level. Picture below is of all the fun people I was out by.
