What are people saying (AI review summary)? This wave pool is widely praised as an excellent and affordable family destination, particularly noted for its very low entrance fees (typically $1-6 per person) and overall cleanliness, including well-maintained bathrooms. Visitors consistently enjoy the large, fun waves and comfortable water temperature. While some reviewers find the on-site food reasonably priced, others note it can be a bit expensive or lead to long lines, especially after 3 PM. A significant drawback is the massive lack of shade, which often necessitates early arrival to secure a desirable spot. There are recurring concerns about overcrowding, theft of personal items (like floats), and a perceived lack of attentiveness or action from lifeguards/staff regarding these incidents, prompting suggestions for more vigilant staff. Outside food and beverages are not permitted. Despite these issues, many reviewers express a strong desire to return, often recommending visits earlier in the day to avoid peak crowds and potential problems.

This is a GREAT place to take the family for a fun summer day of swimming. It's a really nice pool, and the waves get pretty big. It's clean, and we'll maintained. The prices are super low for what you get, best 6 dollars I've ever spent.
Went here for the first time in what had to be close to 15 years and it was wonderful. I was SHOCKED it was only $6 per adult to get in. The food is all reasonably priced and the staff are all very nice. Only downfall is the massive lack of shade. If you want to be lucky enough to set up under the trees in the grass, be ready to arrive early and dont take anything valuable. People will set up their stuff touching yours like some homeless shelter and I didn't have an issue but it sounded like some swimmers have a thief mindset when they see you wonder into the pool. 5/5. The waves were great, water was wonderful.
The best time to go to the wave pool is when it opens until about 3pm. After 3pm it gets extremely crowded and the concession stand has a long line. That being said, I absolutely love going. It's clean, the water temp is great and the waves are fun and there are a lot of lifeguards around to ensure safety. The food is a bit expensive but that's expected nowadays. The entrance price was extremely cheap however! For my husband, son and myself it was only 13 dollars. Will definitely be going back.
Hear me out! Beautiful pool! Great food! Great prices! Community and staff is GAWD AWEFUL. I had a guy steal my float right underneath me and the 4 guards saw and did nothing! Also they didn’t give me another one without paying again! I bought another and it was stolen! Needs more attentive staff almost patrolling. There’s a reason they have police presence at the front gate. Need 6 more!
This pool is such a hidden gem in Allegheny County. We came here for the first time with our kids and for a sunny Sunday, it wasn’t that packed. Other than the wave pool, there is a float rental and a snack bar with fries, chicken tenders and more. Bathrooms were super clean during our visit. Note that they don’t allow food and beverages from outside. For the county residents, tickets are $6 for adults and $1 for kids.
