I had the pleasure of staying at Plum Point Lodge this July with my family. I was beyond impressed with the entire stay. We were fortunate to spend time in the well-kept and beautiful pool just steps away from our room where luxurious purple towels were provided. We stayed in a perfect two bed hotel room which was spotless and guest ready upon our arrival. The staff was inviting and welcoming. I loved the prepackaged s'more kits that can be found at the front desk. It was very child friendly! The stay was so relaxing and enjoyable. In the morning, the front desk provided fresh and delicious coffee and homemade muffins to enjoy. You cannot beat the view of this hotel as well. We will certainly be back to the Plum Point Lodge!
I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect when booking, but the photos looked great and the location right on Seneca Lake seemed promising—and I’m glad to say it exceeded expectations. Upon arrival, the staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Check-in was smooth, and the room was clean, cozy, and comfortable. A real highlight was the porch with rocking chairs facing the lake, which was just about 100 yards away. Each night, a fire was lit near the dock, and guests could relax in the chairs and enjoy the peaceful lakeside scenery—a perfect way to unwind. Although we didn’t get the chance to try the on-site restaurant (which came highly recommended by others), the overall atmosphere of the lodge was relaxing and inviting. I also appreciated the thoughtful follow-up after I accidentally left a work folder behind—staff contacted me and offered to ship it back (at my expense), which speaks to their attentiveness and customer service. The only minor downside for me was the bedding. This is mostly personal preference, but I didn’t love the pillow covers and blankets—it lacked that crisp, fresh “hotel linen” feel. Simple white bedding might elevate the comfort level. We did purchase a bottle of wine from the front desk. While I expected a convenience markup, it was a bit steep—$50 for a bottle that was around $20 online. Still, it was a nice touch to have wine available on-site. Overall, Plum Point Lodge is a beautiful and serene lakeside stay with thoughtful staff and charming views. I’d absolutely consider returning.
We loved our recent stay in one of the Yurts located on the lodge property. Absolutely beautiful little spot perfect for our couples get away. The yurt was larger than expected, very clean and warm for "glamping" in cool temperatures (April). The area was peaceful with so much to offer from the cozy firepits, relaxing at the docks with the waves, or getting a unique cocktail at the lounge. The resturant was unique, offered some upscale items but still brought a mom and pop feel to it. We will definitely return for this price and experience!
My wife and I love Plum Point lodge. We come to the finger lakes every year for our anniversary—with our wiener dog, Oscar Mayer—and we don’t even consider staying anywhere else. In addition to the location, which is central to many great wineries and restaurants, the staff is always so hospitable and accommodating, not to mention friendly! And of course dog-friendly. Sapalta, the on-site restaurant, is always delicious, and every time we come here there is something new to try. The view of Seneca lake is also unparalleled, which you can see from just about every room, along with seating right on the dock. This is the third year in a row we’ve stayed here, and look forward to many more stays at this wonderful lodge. I could go on, but you’ll just have to come experience for yourself!
We have been coming here for the last 7 years and this past weekend with the new owners was such an amazing experience. The energy of the place has totally shifted. Management was on top of everything and the restaurant was delicious! Thank you for treating your staff with so much kindness and thank you for bringing Penny back! Already looking forward to next year. Well done and thank you for taking such good care of our special place on Seneca Lake.
