As an MU student, I love our rec center. The staff is kind and polite. The equipment is advanced, and there are many other classes.

Place was over crowded for a swim meet. To get to crash area was a nightmare and involved 2 flights of stairs. Carrying a chair and small cooler with a child was almost impossible. Then trying to get across the entire length of the pool to get to the bathroom through a crowd was very difficult also! There has to be a better way! The pool was very nice and kids swimming had no complaints about the deck area. Score board was not organized by places after times were put up. That too i found surprising for such a huge facility.

Parking has to be the worst part of the rec, this flowbird shenanigans is the worst, it took my money. Scale in men's locker room is 6lbs out of calibration. The showers are broken, machine cables show signs of tears bad day if it snaps and smacks someone, the feeling of being constantly judged by staff, lack of towels near pool, hot tub in grotto is barely warmer than pool. No sugar added drinks for recovery for diabetics, east exit randomly closes, grotto hours inconsistent with internal schedule. Gym schedule WILDLY inconsistent during summer with no notifications via email or renewal. Weight racks are rusty and stains your hands red. Spend your $70/mo somewhere else.

A great alternative for indoor pickleball. Great environment and friendly players. Great staff and very comfortable facilities. Lighting is okay. Parking is plentiful and comfortable.

My son likes water, so I decided to learn how to swim. It is a great honor to learn swimming here where the swimming emperor Michael Phelps played. I hope to meet many friends while swimming.
