About

The Higginsville Aquatic Center, located within Fairground Park at 2611 MO-13, Higginsville, MO, is a popular community water park. It typically operates during the summer months and features a large swimming pool, diving boards, water slides, a zero-depth entry area, a splash pad or play area for children, and a lazy river, providing a range of aquatic activities for all ages.

Specific pool temperatures for the Higginsville Aquatic Center are not publicly listed. As an outdoor seasonal facility, the pool temperatures generally fluctuate with the weather and are typically maintained at a comfortable level for swimming during the summer operating season.

What are people saying (AI review summary)? The pool is generally seen as a fun option for kids, featuring an enjoyable slide, and lifeguards are noted by some to be present and friendly. However, several patrons expressed concerns about lifeguard professionalism, including perceived flirting and allowing horseplay, contributing to an atmosphere described as 'a bit rough.' Other issues include the perceived tediousness of adult swim breaks for family-only visitors. A significant negative experience detailed a rigid and unhelpful refund policy when the facility closed due to weather shortly after entry without pool usage, accompanied by poor customer service and misapplication of rules. While rules are understood to be for safety, they can be challenging for younger children.

Nice pool overall. Slide was fun for kids to go down. A little too much life guard flirting, and allowing teenagers to horseplay around little kids. The adult swim breaks are tedious as well, when there are only families there just skip it.

Tried to go swimming today with my friend. I paid for her so it was $10. After we got changed and got seats, they said they were closing for weather reason. Which is no big deal. I asked the lady who I gave my money to if I could get a refund since we didn’t get to swim and we were only there for like 5 minutes. She immediately shut me down and said they don’t do refunds and pointed me towards signs. The sign stated they don’t do refunds if they close early due to low patronage, however, they closed due to a weather watch and we never entered the pool. I thought it was rude and inconsiderate. I can get that you don’t do refunds when you close early, but we had just gotten there and didn’t even go in the pool. I believe i deserve a refund. They also need better customer service, and be more educated on how to CORRECTLY apply the rules.

Fun pool for the kids! They have a lot of rules that was a little tough for my 6 year old but I am sure they are just to keep everyone safe. Life guards are very present and friendly
