Family-friendly public pool featuring slides, a lazy river, diving boards and beach access.
Specific pool temperatures for St Joseph Aquatic Park are not publicly listed or readily available. As an outdoor facility, pool temperatures typically rely on natural warming from the sun and are generally maintained at comfortable levels for recreational swimming, which can fluctuate based on ambient weather conditions.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? This water park is generally considered a good, low-cost option for families with young children, featuring safe swimming areas and a lazy river. However, a major and recurring complaint is the frequent closure or long-term non-operation of the large pool and waterslides, which significantly detracts from the experience, particularly for older children and adults. While some praise the staff and lifeguards as great and attentive, others find the lifeguards to be overly cautious. Recent changes include limited 3-hour sessions, removal of some water features, and a lack of shower curtains in women's showers.

Great staff, nice location.... We really need the large pool & slides operational!!! It's sad that this has been out of service since 2018!!! Instead, residents are forced to go to Wathena Public pool (15 minutes away)and we are putting money into Kansas pockets instead of St. Joseph pockets!!! ðŸ˜
My son went there and they said he was younger but he's 13
We love to check out local water parks as we travel. This one seemed promising only to arrive and find out that the slides were shut down and lifeguards are over cautious. They blow whistles for nothing. Kind of ruins the fun. This one is low cost for entry.
It's a nice place to bring your children in the summer time. Most of the swimming areas are made to be safe for young children. The full size pool is still there and has two slides and diving boards but it is a separate pool from the other part of the park that is designed for younger kids, same admission. There is also a lazy river. The aquatic park is open seasonally usually from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend.
Only 3 hour sessions this year and no slides or big pool but it is excellently staffed. The guards are very attentive. They have also taken out the waterfalls and water coming off the ship. No shower curtains in women's showers. I like the lazy river but it gets old. Gave it a 3 because it is cool for young kids 10 and under.
