Family-friendly aquatic center featuring multiple pools and slides.
The pools at Jacobs Aquatic Center are generally heated for comfortable year-round use. While specific temperature figures for each pool are not consistently published, they are maintained at a suitable range for both recreational swimming and lap training, with temperatures potentially varying slightly by pool type and season.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? Jacobs Aquatic Center is widely regarded as an affordable and family-friendly facility, offering dedicated areas for both children (including a pirate ship splash pad) and adults (lap, diving, and 4ft pools). Reviews consistently praise the cleanliness of the pools and the attentiveness of the lifeguards, who are serious about safety and enforcing rules. However, there are mixed opinions on the lifeguard's demeanor, with some described as friendly and others as overly strict or unwelcoming, leading to a perception of a less relaxed, family-fun environment by some users. A significant point of criticism is the age and condition of the children's play equipment, particularly the pirate ship, which is noted for its rust and wear. Seating options for spectators are also mentioned as being limited. Despite these drawbacks, the center offers good value, ample parking, simple food options, and additional activities like pickleball courts and classes.

Jacobs Aquatic Center is a fantastic spot for families and swimmers of all ages. The kids' play area is well-designed, with plenty of fun features to keep little ones entertained. There's also a separate area for adults to swim, making it a great choice for everyone. The lifeguards are attentive and super friendly, adding an extra layer of comfort and safety to the experience. My only suggestion would be to expand the seating options a bit more for spectators or those taking a break. Overall, a great place to enjoy a day in Key Largo!
Relatively inexpensive family day. $30 for a family of 4. However, the pirate ship worked, but the other playground/splash pad did not. The area isn't huge as you can see from the pictures but toddlers seem to enjoy it. There is also a lap pool, diving pool, and a shallow 4ft pool as well. There was only 1 lifeguard on duty for all 3 which is a bit sketchy, but they appeared to be attentive.
It's a great place, and fun pool! There are a lot of life guards and you can tell they take the job seriously. They aren't there to chit-chat, there are a lot kids so they need to focus. They definitely do not tolerate running. With that being said, your kids will still have fun and enjoy everything. They are definitely safe. They serve food: hot dogs, nuggets, burgers, etc. Very simple food. There is a large pool where you can jump, a mid-size pool, and the children's pool. We were able to swim in the mid-size pool with our 1.5year old just fine, and the children's pool with the pirate shipbwas also super fun. The only reason I give it 4/5 stars is because the ship looks fine, but up close you can definitely tell it is very old and has lots of wear and tear. Super rusty. Hopefully sometime they can replace the entire ship. I am 25 and I remember going there since I was 10 years old. Otherwise, the pools are extremely clean and the property is well taken care of. Everyone there was having fun, and my daughter definitely enjoyed herself.
Great water park for the kids and Pool for adults. You have the option to do daily entrance or a 3 months pass. Plenty of parking. No foods or pets allow. Highly recommended. As of 2023 entrance is $12 a day. You can also sign up your kids for summer camp $120 a week. Now for the pickle ball players there is court for you to play every morning!!! If you looking to do and activities they have classes Monday, Wednesday & Friday!
I'm here now and paid $38 for a family of four. The reviews about the boat needing an upgrade are accurate. The woman at the front desk was very friendly, but some of the lifeguards seemed unhappy and unwelcoming. I was hugging my daughter and was told I couldn’t do that. She briefly grabbed my shoulders from behind and was also corrected. She went under the railing once, and they immediately said something to her. This place seems more focused on swim lessons than providing a family-friendly environment. Even with the low price, I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re looking for a fun outing.
