About

Killeen Spray Park, located in Killeen, TX, is a vibrant and family-friendly seasonal attraction designed for children and families to cool off during warmer months. It features various interactive water elements such as sprayers, geysers, and dumping buckets, providing a safe and engaging environment for aquatic play without the depth of a traditional swimming pool. The park is typically free to the public and operates during specific hours in the summer season, offering a refreshing outdoor experience.

As a spray park, Killeen Spray Park utilizes unheated municipal water. Therefore, specific 'pool' temperatures are not maintained or published, and the water temperature will naturally fluctuate with the ambient air and ground temperatures.

What are people saying (AI review summary)? Reviews for the splash park are largely negative, primarily due to poor maintenance and cleanliness, with frequent complaints about trash and unsanitary conditions. Multiple serious incidents of inappropriate patron behavior were reported, such as a dog being bathed and a child being encouraged to urinate in the splash pad, leading many visitors to state they will not return. Other issues include fire ants in the parking lot and disruptive children. Despite these significant drawbacks, some visitors found the park quiet, appreciated the police presence, and noted that children generally enjoyed the splash pad features.

Splash Park is not well maintained. Parks and recreation do a horrible job at cleaning and maintaining this splash pad. Also, people of Killeen never cease to amaze me. While enjoying the splash park in the morning, we witnessed a lady give her dog a full bath with soap and all in the splash pad. Killeen, do better.

Summer 2024 has been beyond disappointing this year, and it's just begun. Always has trash or food thrown onto the splash pad, people don't clean up after themselves or their children. Update: July 2, 2024 today a little girl told her mother she had to use the bathroom. The Mom proceeded to tell her daughter it was ok to urinate in the "little boat hideaway". This is the last time we will be going here.

So the splash pad itself was okay. We went on a Thursday between 6:30 and close and unfortunately there was a bunch of trash left behind and we were literally attacked by fire ants in the parking lot. We probably won't be going back due to those two things and the boy that kept pushing my toddler because he claimed one of the sprayers as his was also very irritating. We will probably travel to a better splash pad versus settling for this one.

it was pretty nice and quiet. I can appreciate the police presents there. I mostly visit in certain weekdays and on Sundays but yeah hopefully they add more there for the little ones

The kids definitely enjoyed this splash pad, and even I was running around with them!
