About

Kid-friendly geothermal pool with swim lanes and an 86-degree water temperature.

The main pool at Ella Redkey Municipal Pool is typically maintained at approximately 84 degrees Fahrenheit, while the therapy or warm-water pool is heated to around 90 degrees Fahrenheit.

What are people saying (AI review summary)? The facility is highly praised for its friendly, efficient, and engaging staff, as well as its generally clean and well-maintained pool, noted for its warm water which is beneficial for therapy. Prices are considered reasonable, and it's a popular spot for aqua aerobics, families, and swim teams. However, a significant point of contention is the recent remodel of locker rooms and bathrooms, which are now restricted to members only. This policy has caused disappointment and frustration among non-members and the community, who feel excluded from fully utilizing the facility after years of volunteer and donation support, as it forces them to arrive and leave in their swimsuits. While older dressing rooms are available and have seen minor updates, the restriction on the new facilities is a major drawback. Deep water lane availability can also be a challenge during swim team season.

The staff was great! They were very friendly to the party and made sure others did not come in while we were swimming. It's very nice pool and facility. Well kept.

I've done aqua aerobics here a couple times. Front desk is super nice. Instructors are fun and engaging. And the ladies are awesome!

The pool is mostly clean, there were a couple random pieces of plastic floating about yesterday, but mostly the water was clean and clear. Prices are reasonable for per person open swim and family night. They recently remodeled the entire inside of the locker rooms/bathrooms, but then changed them to 'only for member use'. So basically you can't change at the pool, you have to come dressed to swim, and leave soaking wet in your swimsuit. I've been going to this pool for the last 25 years, and hearing about the remodel was exciting, finding out that it was then closed to everyone except those who pay out 100's for membership, was rather disappointing. This municipal pool has been supported by volunteers, donations, grants, and community involvement. Seems a bit short sighted to exclude so many from fully utilizing the facility.

I swim at the pool year round and I love it there! The dressing rooms are old and could use some updating but they have done some cleaning up and painting in the showers that has been nice. It's a little hard to get a deep water lane for laps during swim team season but I'm glad the kids have the pool so that there can be swim teams in the basin. This pool is a great place for families also! Even in the winter!

I like this pool a lot- very clean & efficient staff. Not super modern but adequate for what I need. Water was 86 degrees despite cold wind & driving thundershowers... so unless you can embrace your inner Viking soul, you might prefer an indoor pool until weather improves. I purchased a 3 month pass because I think the warmer water will help my therapy faster.
