This was my very first time at this pool and probably my last. We was there for a birthday party for 2 kiddos. As we was walking to the gate a lifeguard and lady was arguing out loud for others to hear. When we get in I noticed the pool wasn't very clean more cloudy but I'm sure that's due to all the sunscreen and children im sure urinate in it. As our party gets in the pool I notice a lifeguard continously stay on his phone not paying attention to those in or around the pool. Shortly after dark clouds came in and a few crackles of thunder happened. There was no rain nor lightning. The staff kept coming to the host of the party pretty much trying to push us out. She asked to wait to see if it passes. 30 mins into waiting to see what happens the young gentleman pretty much pushed her into moving the party to the pavilion and locking us out. The weather cleared up never rained never strikes lightning. The staff quickly left as if they was just so excited they got us out of there. Come Monday the host spoke to the lady about everything she had nothing but excuses for the staff and their behavior.
We went there this past Saturday for a private pool party. The party started at 6:30 pm. As we walked into the gate and sat our belongings down we all heard thunder. As they should, they got everyone out of the pool. Stated they would wait 30 mins and if no thunder people could get back in. I went into the ladies room to wash my hands. While I was at the sink a young lady (lifeguard) stuck her head out of the stall and demanded they were closed. I explained I was with the private party. It was obvious the young staff was wanting to leave. We did wait it out per the young man's advice a little bit longer. Then all at once they decided to close the pool. We were told we had to leave, and we did. We moved out to the pavilion to allow the kids to open gifts. The staff left as soon as my friends last guest walked out. It was very obvious the people that were assigned to work the party wanted to leave. Now before all the Karen's chime in. Im from east TN, born and raised, I know the weather is unpredictable. The young man stated he had talked to the manager and my friend would be refunded. When she called the pool as instructed she was told that she infact would not get her money back. This was handled in an unprofessional manner. She should have received her money back as the party started at 6:30 and guest were told to get out of the pool within minutes. Had she not been trying to work with the young man in charge then perhaps no refund or partial would be expected. I feel the right thing to do would have been a full refund. I had recommended this pool to another friend as the pool was nice and clean. However after this turn of events that's a big NO for me.
Nice pool, has refreshments, and lifeguards. They sell swim diapers for little ones. Looks to be accessible by wheelchair as well. Has a smaller pool adjacent to the main pool for toddlers.
Great pool! Bring a chair, they don’t have a lot of seating, but if you’re looking for a nice place to cool off, this is a good option.
Went here for a bday party. It was very clean, the life guards are nice and very attentive. We will go back soon!!
