Kid-friendly public facility for swimming and sunbathing, featuring a slide and a climbing wall.
The official information available for the Nederland Swimming Pool does not specify the exact temperature of its pools. As an outdoor municipal facility, the water temperature would generally vary depending on the prevailing weather and ambient air conditions.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? The Nederland Swimming Pool receives mixed reviews. Many patrons praise its cleanliness and size, finding it a good place for families to cool off. However, there are widespread complaints regarding the staff, particularly the teenage lifeguards, who are frequently described as rude, yelling, and exhibiting a 'power trip,' often without apparent adult supervision. Additionally, some find the pool's rules overly strict or illogical. A significant point of frustration is the pool's frequent and unpredictable closures due to various reasons, such as weather, staff shortages, or hygiene issues, leading to a shortened season and unused passes, which has caused many to express disappointment and state they will not return.

Love this pool during the summer!!! All 3 of my kids and their MANY friends meet up there and just have a blast! It's small enough where you can see the kids at all times, but it is still big enough for all ages! I always feel safe when bringing my kids there and have never had a bad experience when I was there. Concession stand is there, buy for a fee you can bring in a cooler!
The only positive about this pool is that it’s clean and a good size pool. The life guards on duty have a power trip going on. I understand rules and they need to be followed for safety, that was not the issue. I was fortunate to not be on the receiving end of their rude behavior because I pretty much lounged, but I did witness how they all interacted with guest and how they spoke to them. It was the tone and them SCREAMING at kids and adults. I tried looking for an adult but the whole place seems to be run by teenagers having too much fun being completely over the top rude. Hire some adults to teach these kids how to interact with the public. Won’t be back.
I absolutely love this place. Texas heat has been so disrespectful lol. To cool off from the heat, go to Nederland Swimming Pool. The staff could be a tad bit friendlier, but overall, my family and I enjoy the pool.
I am not exaggerating when I say that the Nederland pool has been closed more times than it has been opened. It would close after an hour or two for various reasons. There could be a lightning strike in a few cities over and they would close for the day. There seemed to be so many people pooping in the pool this summer…it’s crazy. What are the odds?!? Another one is that they said they didn’t have the staff that day so they would turn people away. I counted 30 people leaving but they still wouldn’t let anyone else in. I am not kidding…I have 8 “rain out” passes that I have yet to use and today is the last day The last day is August 16, 2025 to swim and they used to stay open until Labor Day weekend. I wonder if they’ll end up closing down in the next couple of years bc they sure don’t seem interested in being open for their community. It’s kind d of sad…
The only good thing is that it is a clean and large pool, but the staff are all rude and some of the rules are ridiculous. If I climb the wall and jump into the water, do I have to leave the pool by the stairs because someone else might want to swim to the wall, but I can go around it, right? Why can't I swim back to the Lowe parte of pool? And if I go down the water slide, I have to leave the pool by the stairs too, and I can't do anything. Thats stupid i'm never coming to being yelled at by teenagers either.
