What are people saying (AI review summary)? The public pools are highly praised for their affordability, with a low $1 entrance fee and $1 swim lessons offered during the summer. Reviewers consistently highlight the staff as professional, friendly, vigilant, and helpful, providing safety advice, assisting with gear, and promptly addressing concerns. The facilities are noted as clean and well-maintained, allowing swimmers extended access. However, a recurring issue with the swim lessons is that some children stay for extended periods (e.g., all 3 hours), which limits participation for others and hinders consistency and advancement for those unable to join.

This is a wonderful public pool. The entrance fee is only $1.00, a bargain. The staff is professional and friendly. They are vigilant and provide advice and direction to keep the swimmers safe. The changing area was clean and well maintained. A delightful public service.
Because it is cheap and you get to swim until they close and the details and attachments is nice
The staff and the manager are very kind & professional. I saw a situation and complained to the supervisor and asked him ‘ is this happening in AMERICA? He agreed with me and started taking action on it immediately. Hope I don’t see that situation again at any of our public pools. Regards to all…My apologies… If I bothered anyone… I support keeping America GREAT. No politics.
Because they gave my son floatys and goggles so he can swim!
The city pools in lake charles offers swim lessons during the summer for $1 at 9,10 and 11. I've taken my kid regularly. However, I'm not a fan that some kids stay the whole 3hrs because others get turned around who didn't get in the water. I get 1st come 1st serve but when they don't leave, that hinders others. Nobody's gonna be a master swimmer when they stay 3hrs in the same class and never advance because they're not consistent in attendance. Idc what anyone says.
