About

The Laughlin Aquatic Center, also known as the Laughlin Community Pool and Water Park, is a recreational public facility located in Laughlin, NV, managed by Clark County Parks and Recreation. It offers a variety of aquatic amenities including a heated zero-depth entry activity pool, dedicated lap lanes, an interactive splash playground, exciting water slides, and a dive tank. The center provides numerous programs such as swim lessons, aquatic fitness classes, open swim, and lap swimming, serving as a popular destination for community recreation and cooling off, particularly during warmer months.

The facility features heated pools. While specific, regularly published temperatures for each individual pool (e.g., activity pool versus lap pool) are not consistently available in public descriptions, public recreational pools like those at Laughlin Aquatic Center are typically maintained at a comfortable temperature, often in the low to mid-80s Fahrenheit (approximately 27-29°C).

What are people saying (AI review summary)? The public pool receives mixed reviews, with some patrons enjoying their visits, but a strong consensus on operational frustrations. Frequent, unadvertised closures and extremely limited operating hours (e.g., one weekday or short season), particularly in a hot desert climate, are major complaints. Reviewers feel the pool often prioritizes events like water aerobics or swim meets over general family use, does not update its hours accurately online, and its cash-only policy creates inconvenience. Many highlight the pool's importance as an affordable alternative to paid river access, emphasizing the need for better accessibility and consistent operation for the community.

Living locally here for 30 yrs I've never seen this public pool closed so often as itis currently . They advertise as open but when you arrive your told oh sorry we're closed for the season when you can clearly see kids swimming in the pool . So is it just open for life guards anymore ? Bullhead city pool also it seemes Water aerobics and swim meets are more important than family's usage. Not everyone can go to the river I'm disabled and would appreciate being considered revelant

Went down today on my day off, my complex pool was closed and they were closed but didn't advertise as closed, I also drove down to bullhead city yesterday to get cash out of the ATM specifically to swim today as they don't accept card, river access also is paid at both the park down the street and at another two access points on the bullhead city side, I've only found one free access point at rotary park. Not everyone has money and boats to be entertaining their children, update your hours. And also the lifeguards are completely overstaffed, there are more life guards than patrons most days

Can't believe they are open for one week day when it's in the desert and as hot as Hades. They don't really care about the kids and the people or they would be open all week like other pools in other states.
