What are people saying (AI review summary)? The aquatic center garners mixed feedback. Positives include its appeal to a wide age range, from small children to older visitors, with the lazy river frequently cited as a favorite feature for relaxation, especially after 3 PM. It is also recognized for a nice water walking program and as one of the nicer pools in Topeka. However, several significant issues are raised: inadequate lifeguard attention (particularly in the baby pool), a lack of chairs and tubes for the lazy river leading to long waits, and consistently 'gross' restrooms. Operational problems like not opening on time have caused frustration and led to patrons leaving. Furthermore, strict policies such as the ban on floating devices for infants and the inaccessibility of family bathrooms for patrons are criticized. Concerns are also noted regarding the professional attire of some female lifeguards, which some found inappropriate and a poor example.

I absolutely love this place ‼️ My favorite is the LAZY RIVER & could be in it all day 💕
Perfect place to relax after 3p when the school buses of children go home. Very nice water walking program as well. Love the lazy river ♥️
Has a lot for little kids to do as well as older children. Quite a bit of lifeguards don’t pay enough attention especially in the baby pool! Lack of chairs, lack of tubes so you’re waiting for a while at the lazy river. It’s one of the nicer pools in Topeka but definitely could be better. The restrooms are gross, they should hire someone to power wash at least once a week or invested in someone strictly for that.
North aquatic center is one of the worst pools I have ever been to. Will not be returning with my family again. 1st off, I get why they don't allow floating devices, but I have a 9 month old baby who can't even walk and told me we could use a life jacket for him. They don't make life jackets for 9 months, who only weigh 20 pounds. That I'm aware of. So the floating device should've have been ok. 2nd: Sense when are the family marked bathrooms for staff only? We have a large family of 6 kids and your standard bathrooms are not suitable for larger families that may need to assist more than one child at a time especially if there are both boys and girls that require help. And 3rd: Most of the female life guards were either in swim suits too small, or not wearing them properly. My 10yo son was not comfortable and asked me "why the girls were showing their butts off"? It's bad enough that your patrons are allowed to expose themselves with improper swim wear (thong panties, thong bikini bottoms, and other very revealing bra and panty sets) why would you allow your staff to do the same? These young ladies should be setting a proper example for the younger girls around them, not a poor one.
It's a good place but bad service! it was 2pm and they didn't open and people were getting wet outside and the entrance is at 12:00. People were leaving. They were just playing with people, the kids were sad.
