What are people saying (AI review summary)? The public pool garners mixed reviews, primarily concerning cleanliness and lifeguard attentiveness, despite its value as a community resource and affordability. Many patrons appreciate the free admission days or low adult entry fee, the large pool with a diving board, and the availability of life jackets. However, cleanliness is a significant and recurring issue, with multiple reports of debris, insects, and vegetation in the water, along with consistently messy bathrooms. While some find the lifeguards friendly and appreciate their rotation, a frequent complaint is that lifeguards are not vigilant, often socializing instead of actively supervising, leading to unchecked horseplay, reckless jumping, and roughhousing, raising safety concerns. There are also observations about inappropriate swimwear and adult behavior. Some reviewers note the pool's declining condition and call for serious repairs and improved overall upkeep.

First time there. Not very crowded. Pool seemed clean.. bathroom were a mess. I appreciate the life guard rotation every 15 minutes, but none of them stopped the horse play near the diving board. I had to make my kids move several times so they didn't get hurt.. As a family established, I understand its a public pool, but thong bikinis should not be allowed!! So many teenagers with bathing suits up their A$$. Also should be mindful of the adults in the shallow end being inappropriate. Probably won't return. But thank you for having us.
The pool is a wonderful community resource, but its cleanliness requires attention. Although admission is currently free, this does not justify neglecting maintenance responsibilities. Debris and insects are prevalent. Lifeguards must remain vigilant at their stations rather than socializing at the front desk. Children are recklessly jumping off the edge, and roughhousing is occurring without adequate supervision, posing a risk to younger patrons. To better serve the community, it is essential to improve the pool's upkeep and supervision.
My children LOVE coming to the public pool. We are beyond grateful for the“free days,” on Monday, Wednesday and Friday! The life guards are super friendly and the best snow cone stand in town is ACROSS the street! 😁😁😁
The place is free for the summer thanks to some local churches. But the pool was dirty with vegetation from the nearby trees and the lifeguards were more interested in goofing off than actually working. The pool is declining and needs serious repairs.
You can’t beat the price of $2 for adults. Big pool from 3-9 feet deep with a diving board. Small selection of chairs but you can bring your own like we did. No food or drinks allowed but there is a water fountain. Life jackets available FCFS. No pool floats allowed. Could use a cleaning of dead leaves floating around. 3 lifeguards around. Bathrooms with open room showers.
