About

Rinehart Indoor Swimming Pool, located at 2730 Liberty Rd, Lawton, OK, is an Olympic-size indoor facility operated by the City of Lawton Parks and Recreation. It offers a variety of year-round aquatic programs, including swim lessons, water aerobics, competitive swim team practices, and open swim times for the community. The facility includes locker rooms and showers.

The water temperature in the pool is consistently maintained at 82 degrees Fahrenheit (approximately 27.8 degrees Celsius) for the comfort of all swimmers.

What are people saying (AI review summary)? The facility includes a small gym, Rinehart, which is praised for being a less crowded option, especially for early mornings. The pool area receives mixed reviews. Positives include attentive lifeguards, a family-friendly atmosphere, cleanliness, good handicap accessibility, and adequate swim lessons. However, there are significant drawbacks: numerous rules that restrict fun (e.g., no floats or toys), uncomfortably high temperatures in the summer with rules against ventilation, and inconsistent staff quality. A major complaint is the pool's unreliable operating hours, with frequent closures due to 'chemical imbalances' or early shutdowns, and it's reportedly never open on weekends, making it often inaccessible despite advertised times. Reviewers suggest it's suitable only for swimming, not fun, and advise checking hours before visiting or considering alternative facilities like the YMCA.

Rinehart is a small gym, but this is a great place to get away from the crowd at fires. This is my go to gym especially for those early mornings!!!

Pro’s- 1. It’s a pool 2. It’s clean enough. 3. Very nicely set up for handicap people. Con’s- 1. There are so many rules that they have forgotten it’s a pool. There is no float, no toys, no this, no that, etc. NO FUN. 2. It is blazing hot in there during the summer! There are crazy rules about opening the doors to allow a breeze. 3. Staff is hit and miss. There are some good ones, but there are some that leave a little to be desired. You can find them all huddled at the table as you walk through the door. 4. They do offer swim lessons. They Are adequate. Don’t be friendly w the staff! They get uncomfortable. 5. Diving boards are rarely open. ***Overall- the pool is adequate if you are looking to get wet. It is a pool to swim. Not to have fun.

Pool is never open they advertise 4-7 pm during the week but they always have an excuse and it's never open on weekends I don't even know why they have a pool between "chemical Imbalances" or it being closed early there is no point to even have one your better off going the the ymca or rec center

Pool is nice but hours are odd. Make sure it's open before you go.
