What are people saying (AI review summary)? Reviews for this company are highly mixed. Several customers reported positive experiences with concrete pool work, including sanding, painting, and new pours, as well as plumbing, pool closings, and liner replacements, often praising the professional and knowledgeable crews. However, one extensive negative review detailed significant issues with a specific individual, 'Sean,' describing a 3-day job that took six weeks, resulting in an unfinished and poor-quality pool. This review highlighted major problems such as property destruction (killed plants, cut hoses, used decor panels for construction, cut power and water lines), poor workmanship (exposed pump lines, incorrectly hooked up electrical, not to code, missing ladder footings), leaving a construction mess, unreliability, and unprofessional conduct including demanding daily payment and leaving for other jobs.

What a nightmare… a 3 day job took six weeks, and my pool still looks like this. Sean destroyed our backyard, killed our perennial plants, cut up two garden hoses to make into one big one without asking, took down painted wooded decor panels around our pool to use for concrete boards, held us hostage to keep returning to work the next day by asking for a check each night they came, and if we didn’t pay said we’d have to wait longer to have the work completed. (The work he said in the contract he would do in 3 consecutive days). Then after we gave him the 3rd check, he still went to work on another job for the next three days. Sean is a liar at worst and incompetent at best. Among the other things he did: -cut through our power and water lines with his skid steer, the water line is still exposed in our backyard. -left the new pool pump line they installed exposed when it was previously buried - hooked up the electrical sub panel incorrectly, causing it to arc and melt the panel. (It’s currently being replaced by a licensed electrician) - did not install the new wiring to code (per Pekin Code Official) - “forgot” to install the footings for the ladder at the deep end. We’re going to have to drill holes and install new sleeves - left our backyard looking like a construction site with concrete slurry all over the yard (going to have to have it all removed and sodded, grass seed won’t grow on concrete) -tried to hide/bury the concrete they tore up in a back corner of our yard - left a large pile of trash in our front yard and refused to take it with him -showed up late everyday except the last day, and some days didn’t show up at all -didn’t come prepared; constantly asking us to borrow this or that tool or leave to buy a new piece they broke or lost - We were so excited to get our pool fixed at the beginning of the summer, and now it’s the end of July and disappointment is hard to swim in!

This is the 3rd year they have closed my pool, and i haven’t had a problem with my inground pool since they took over the closings. I’m very thankful for that quality of service.

We used Central Illinois pool to replace our above ground liner. What a great crew - professional, courteous and extremely knowledgeable. We found our new “pool guy”!
