It’s SO great to have a hot springs in this beautiful valley! Epic is very ieasy to work with and you get a fantastic space to soak with gorgeous views!
Pulling up to the beach without having to haul our paddle boards and equipment for the day was worth the $20 alone. Clean gradual shore and open space was a bonus. Would definitely come again next time I'm here.
Spent the 4th at Bear Lake. I was unaware that I needed reservation to visit the beach. We arrived and paid out $20 to park and were disappointed to find that the beach was completely full. Not a place to enter the water at all without walking through someone elses spot. Clearly overselling access to the 20+ cars that were in line with us. We all continued to the end of the line and found a small place to park. We did not notice that there is a "sign 2 inches wide and 3 feet tall that states do not enter. The park rangers were called and we were kicked out for trespassing. No refunds, no place to park, no "clean: restroom, no place to get into the water. We left, sadly they were still taking money from unknowing people in line. Very disappointed! Make reservations elsewhere, these kids are nto worth the hassel.
We came here as part of a family reunion a week before July 4th. We spent almost $400 to reserve a space for 23, plus added optional chairs and canopies. We are hot spring fans so thought we were getting a great beach combo especially as bear lake can have chilly winds at times & the hot springs would be delightful if chilly. They also advertise clean restroom use with admission. We arrived and they had the canopies & chairs all set. However the hot spring pools were empty and being painted, the restrooms were closed so we had to use nasty stink Porta potties. Everyone was sorely disappointed. The place didn't bother to let us know about anything, nor give any discount for the lack of their advertised services. If making plans to come to bear lake hot springs, be sure you know what you are getting before handing over the cash.
Nice section to have a good time with family but it is not bathroom friendly. The bathrooms next to the pools had closed signs and the porta potties ran out of toilet paper or they were already filthy. Depends where you park but you have to walk a good 5-10 mins to the bathroom. If you drive well good luck someone might take your spot. The parking is limited bear the upper pools and entrance so be aware. Also it isn't sand it's all mud and hard surface. The tractor tires make marks on the water that if you do not wear shoes you will end up hurting at the end of the day from the bumps it leaves.
