The local community largely opposes the project, citing concerns about increased traffic, severe negative impacts on the local ecosystem, and a predicted surge in mosquito populations. The Army Corp of Engineers previously warned about building this type of project on swamp land, yet unfortunately here it is. The local community does not want this project built as it will increase traffic and negatively impact the ecosystem in this area. Logan City completely disregarded the massive input from the community regarding this project and pushed it through anyway verifying once again that our public servants value developers' money over public safety and community concerns. What a disgrace. I am inclined to believe that this may be the "west side project" to which Mayor Holly Daines referenced as the cause for cutting down the historic ash trees on the island.

The mosquitoes are terrible I got eaten alive out here within five minutes. I can't imagine living here with a standing lake 😅

What a disgrace to Cache Valley. This will negatively impact the local ecosystem. I hope all who live in the area make sure to stock on mosquito repellent cause they will be there in swarms.
