What are people saying (AI review summary)? Clapp Park Pool generally receives positive feedback for its facilities, which include a water slide, two diving boards, varying depths (10' deep, 3' shallow, 2' kids' section), and the option to bring non-alcoholic coolers. Visitors appreciate the presence of concessions, weekend Mexican ice cream vendors, friendly and helpful staff, and consistent lifeguard supervision. It's also noted as a good venue for pool parties and preferred by some over other local options. However, significant criticisms include a cash-only policy, occasional temporary closures for cleaning, and common issues with overcrowding. Some guests reported the water feeling unclean or greasy, and long lifeguard breaks detracted from swim time. There were also concerns about unwatched children and a noticeable police presence, which some found unsettling.

Great pool, you can bring coolers as long as you don't have alcoholic drinks!
Great place to swim. They have a water slide and 2 diving boards. The deep end is 10’ hand the shallow end is 3’. There is a separate section for kids that is 2’. It’s separated by a concrete wall. They have concessions with chips and drinks and ice cream for those hot summer days. There’s a few guys from a place in Amarillo that come down on Sat and Sun to sell Mexican ice cream and other treats. There is always life guards on duty here. The people are always nice and friendly. If you have any questions about anything, someone is always there to assist you. You can also have pool parties here as well. I’ve been to Maxey Park Pool and this one. Between the two, Clapp Park will always be my Go-To swim spot!
I took my five kids and when we got there they told me, cash only. I had to pack up all of my children back in the car to get cash out. Once I got back ,the pool was off limits because something got in the pool and they had to clean the pool. That was the only issue. After the staff let us back in it was a fun day.
Didn't like it much at all. Really over crowded, water wasn't that clean and felt greasy to me. My kids did not have fun and since this was the first time we've been there were taken back by how long the life guards took a break and took a good chunk of what time we were there to swim. In all we spent around 25 minutes there and decided to just go ahead a leave.
Taking my kid to swim lessons. They are doing ok teaching her. Pool is nice but the unwatched kids ruin it. I've seen more cops here than at a church parking lot, waiting on crime to happen instead of preventing crime.
