What are people saying (AI review summary)? Reviews for the community pool are mixed. Many members praise its affordability, community atmosphere, and recent improvements like a new snack shack, painted deck, and updated seating/shade, all without a rise in dues. The lifeguard team is often described as amazing, hard-working, and focused on safety. It's considered a great family pool, especially for young families, offering a fun and safe place to relax. However, a significant portion of feedback criticizes poor management and run-down facilities, citing issues such as an overflowing and smelly dumpster, broken and pinching lounge chairs, splinter-prone decking, cracked concrete, unclean bathrooms lacking hot water, and mildew around the pool edges. Some reviewers also report unprofessional and rude board members, and lifeguards who handle situations inappropriately, play favorites, and discipline inconsistently, advising against membership due to these concerns.
Reviews
We've enjoyed this pool since moving into the neighborhood, five years ago. It's a small, community pool run by hard working volunteers who are trying to make improvements every year. The lifeguard team is absolutely amazing, and are some of the best kids out there. They work hard to keep the pool clean and a fun, but safe environment. And the rates are super affordable, as they are one of the most reasonable pools in town. This year, the pool added a snack shack, painted the pool deck, installed newer and more seating areas and shade, and made improvements to the bathrooms without even raising their dues.
A clean and friendly neighborhood pool.
Poor management with run down facilities: dumpster is always needing emptying and smells awful where you park/enter the pool, the majority of the lounge chairs are broken and pinch you, the decking gives splinters, the concrete is cracked and unlevel, the bathrooms don't have hot water and are not kept clean, and the pool often has mildew around the edges. There’s always a problem and the lifeguards do not handle situations appropriately, as well as play favorites, and do not discipline consistently among members. The board itself is highly unprofessional and rude suiting only their financial needs/agenda. Do yourself a favor and do not waste your money becoming a member here.
Rainbow Forest Pool is a fun, safe place to relax in the summer. It's not as new and fancy as a couple of the of the other nearby pools, but it's cheaper and serves a healthy slice of the young family population. My kids love it!
