Awesome lifeguards, huge pool!
Monticello Community Park Pool, situated in the community park, on the historic Old Monticello Mill Pond's former location, provides a peaceful setting for family outings with a shelter house that comes equipped with all the necessary facilities. Memory Lane, composed of more than 100 flowering crab apple trees, welcomes visitors to the village and leads to the lake's island which can be reached through a curved footbridge. This picturesque location has been used for weddings and other events and includes an octagonal shelter house that offers additional amenities. The man-made lake, created by community volunteers, spans around 7 acres, a designated pier is available for those who prefer fishing from the shore. A footbridge leads to an island on the lake providing benches and ample shade. Sportsmen, or women, can enjoy volleyball and horseshoe courts, a baseball diamond, and a soccer field, and swimming pool. The park also has a large playground with various age-appropriate equipment for children to enjoy safely.
Although the pool is big and seems clean, my staff experience was not that wonderful. I took my daughter to the pool around 3:45pm not knowing that they closed the pool at 4. She swam the 15 minutes and then they closed. The person who took our money did not say anything about closing. In all fairness, they do reopen the pool later at night. However, that would have been helpful to know at the time. We could not go back that night so we really paid for nothing. I am sure they are nice enough but definitely no communication to be found. Know what you are getting into before you go and dont go at 3:35.😁
Very clean! Very nice! Very patient life guards who are helping my daughter with swim lessons! She's 1 and a half years old! They're awesome!
