Just got here, but we're super impressed by this hotel so far! Kid friendly if you have them with you. Good for a couple getaway 😉. We brought our furry kid (plan ahead!), and they're very pet friendly. They have a walk area and dog park enclosure!! They even provided a dog bed! Continental breakfast included and extra special somethings for purchase in the lobby. Planning on a relaxing few days here!!

Open Hearth is fantastic, the facilities are great, the owners/staff, well, you couldn't ask for better. The place is so dog friendly, the gathering spaces are great for meeting new people over cocktails, or sitting with your crew sipping on a beverage. Got the munchies? Forget something while you were out? Not a biggie, Open Hearth most likely has it covered and won't make you spend a arm and a leg for it- bottle of wine, coupla beers, pizza, ice cream. Got ya covered. This has become our "go to" Door County place to stay. It's perfectly situated to allow easy access to the whole peninsula in a short drive. I cant say enough good about the place.

This hotel is a great place to stay! Our room was extremely clean, towels were soft, bed was very comfortable. They even had a digital fireplace on when we walked in-very welcoming and pretty. The receptionist and manger always made time for us when we asked questions. They knew the best places to eat at and things to do in Door County. The breakfast was delicious-there was even fresh cherries and cherry coffee! Two beautiful fires in pits outside with plenty of seating around them and one in lobby-so relaxing. This is the place to stay when visiting Door County!!

We stayed here this weekend and I was so pleasantly surprised. This spot is underrated! The location was so great. We were close to all the attractions but able to retreat. The fire pit, playground and live music were a great. Breakfast was great. All the staff were very friendly. I’d return for sure!

The Open Hearth Lodge is a fantastic place to stay in Sister Bay—very clean, comfortable, and welcoming. The rooms are spotless and cozy, with everything you need for a relaxing visit. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the complimentary breakfast is excellent—fresh, tasty, and a great way to start the day. The location is peaceful but close to everything in Door County. We had a great stay and will definitely return! I would 100% recommend staying here!
